It has a population of 27,400 (2005) and an area of 189.4 km². The only elevation of the municipality is the Cabezo Gordo, the location of the Sima de las Palomas, a protected archeological site. The town is home to one further education college called "I.E.S. Gerardo Molina".

Went in for BBQ after seeing the menu on a previous on route drink to the old town. Staff great, Thankyou to the smiley-happy waitress. Very helpful, bbq very nice, plenty of it , good price, price on menu is for meat only then you add on chips at 2.50 euros for large portion and 4.50 euros for plentiful salad . 2 meals and couple of drinks for 2 ( spirits ) came to 38 euros.Will come back again ,bbq nights are Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.Thankyou indeed.

Casa Carol's is a very friendly, welcoming bar that now has the kitchen operation in the capable hands of Marion. The food is outstanding a bar/restaurant that is well worth a visit for a great meal and a great craic.

We came across this restaurant through a local Los Alcazares group on Facebook, advertising Sunday Lunch. We booked a table and found it was in an area called the 525 Square which is a street full of restaurants of various types.It was very busy which is usually a good sign, and we were not disappointed with the meal, offering a choice of roast meats and a variety of vegetables. The quality was excellent and the service friendly. Topped off with a very nice slice of cake!As we have a holiday home nearby we will definitely be visiting it again!

My wife has been talking about this place for months and has joined their Facebook page. We eventually went last night. I had prawns which were massive. Plate came was really pretty too. My wife and Sister in law went for Nachos. I had a tase and was great. I liked the sweet chilli sauce they put on. Mains were superb. My SIL had a gammon steak and she said it was delightful. My wife and I had burger with me the platter. It wasnât the cheapest meal we have had this time but certainly the best one. You get what you pay for in this world and with great staff, the question is, will I be back-YES. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Have been coming to the Sibarit for many years now the service is excellent. All the staff are very attentive and polite. especially Maria who has an amazing memory and always remembers what you drink. Love this bar please visit you will love it too.

Went to Amigos recently for breakfast it was so good .Nothing like freshly cooked food .It was so good we had breakfast again and again .we also went to see some soccer and Rugby matches nightly. The staff were so obliging great atmosphere. We will be back

We have had a holiday home in this area for 13 years and never eaten here before! We sat outside in the sunshine having our drinks before eating inside which was lovely. The service was excellent and the starter of Caesar salad that we had to share was delicious. Lovely fresh chicken and a delicious sauce with bacon. My main of chicken skewers was also delicious and plentiful. Unfortunately my husband had the ribs which were all bone very little meat and that was over cooked and dry. He sent it back and was offered an alternative. He chose the fried chicken but it was not much better. Staff were very pleasant and we would return.
