Our newly refurbished & extended Bar including the addition of a restaurant, has been designed to enable space yet intimacy. We will be serving high quality freshly cooked food with emphasis on local produce, teamed up with an array of locally sourced Hot
My family live near so it is great for a bite to eat and a beer or wine and no driving. Menu is varied, so something for everyone. The beer and wine selection is very good and they stock some nice Gins!! Nice atmosphere, although the lighting could be a little softer, but you get use to it. Friendly staff. I would say good value for money, it's not expensive, so don't expect Fine Dining. The steak has always been good.

We visited here for a Sunday pub lunch. Pulling up in the car park said it all, 3 cars in the car park and not many more people than that inside the pub. I was looking forwards to a Sunday roast. When it turned up it was clear it was pre prepared / frozen. The potatoes were tasteless and the beef was like leather, it was clinically cut slices and very dry apart from the gravy. Imagine overcooked deli cut slices of beef reheated and put in gravy..... will we be back here.....er no!

We weren't expecting much from such a rurally located pub as they have a captive audience but we were pleasantly surprised. The landlady was very friendly and helpful and the food was wonderful. The salmon rilette and chicken parfait starters were both delicious. My partner very much enjoyed his meal, my lamb livers and bacon was a massive portion and liver maybe slightly overdone but still delicious. We would definitely return if we were in the area.

Staying at Brambles up the road walked down the lane to this lovely old pub for an evening meal. Really welcoming atmosphere and excellent food - I had a pheasant casserole which was absolutely delicious. When the landlord heard we were down looking for property he even handed us the local paper to browse! And yes, we have bought a house, and yes, we will definitely be coming back to this lovely pub on a regular basis for relaxing nights out and delicious food.

The friendliest and most welcoming country pub in Devon, serving home cooked food day
Dropped in here after using the TA app as needed pit stop between site seeing. Glad we did. Really friendly couple running it, good pub grub at sensible prices. Proper old pub decor, open fire, unspoilt by modern trends, as country pubs should be. Definitely child friendly, as they made a fuss of some of the little ones in the pub. Can't go wrong here.

This is a local village pub/restaurant/bed and breakfast, serving very good food and drink at both lunch times and in the evenings, including Sunday roasts with Exmoor beef. Good bar meals and a full restaurant menu, which includes both a standard menu, e
Our evening meal was superb rump steak cooked to perfection with all the trimmings. The restaurant is decorated very romantic with fairy lights and very interesting bits and pieces the staff were very happy and friendly. We also had a Sunday roast the next day it was the best we ever had tender beef and at least six vegetables and amazing roast potatoes. The landlord is a very happy chap and proud of his pub and so he should be.We are so glad that you enjoyed the ambiance, your rump steak and the Sunday roast beef. All our beef is either quality West Country or Exmoor beef. A big thank you for your super review, from all of us here at The Mitre Inn and we hope to see you again in the future.

Sorry we are closed for a short holiday. We re-open on Wed 12th June '19. Rumoured to be the oldest pub in Devon, open fires, dogs and families welcome. It's best to book if you can for Friday, Saturday and Sunday's as the weekend dining is popular.
Lovely to be back at the Stag, a really good refurb. Had dinner one night and a sunday lunch another. Both good. Interesting gins, and some interesting liqueurs. Would like to see some more local ales on pumps, and need a someone behind the bar more and waiting staff who keep you going in drinks, as we would all have liked more top ups.

We are a family run business offering a great atmosphere and home-cooked locally sourced food. Old school american style food, everything cooked from scratch by our experienced chefs - Ranging from Beastie Burgers to succulent steaks and also some classic
Great ambience. Great food. Great staff. What more could you want. They have special nights (quiz night, Cuban night, bands, buy one get one half price etc.etc.) I would recommend this venue to anyone wanting a good night out. Word of warning, it's best to book in advance they get very busy and you wouldn't want to be disappointed by not getting a table.

Set in the heart of Mid devon, twisting up winding country lanes is this delightful Pub The Cadeleigh Arms. With its rustic exterear and amazing views of the rolling hills, the only sound you will hear is the mooing of cows in the field next door. Set in
We stopped off here for dinner as it was en route without a reservation after reading some great reviews. They were fully booked mid week but happy to serve us as we had arrived early. The menu has some really interesting choices, not the usual pub grub menu. We thought the food and service was excellent! As a coeliac gluten free person there was plenty of choice and even a local gluten free beer on tap- amazing!
