A warm welcome in this lovely traditional county pub.Excellent value for money, delicious home cooked Sunday lunch .Staff were absolutely fantastic, so friendly and simply could do enough for us.I would recommend to anyone who like traditional British pubs with great food and friendly staff.

Our fantastic team of chefs are taking the food at The Lamb to the next level. We offer beautifully cooked seasonal dishes throughout the day, including breakfast, lunch and dinner. With a menu full of freshly prepared works of art using some locally sour
Having had lunch and dinner at the Lamb on many occasions, we thought we would introduce our wives to the food of the Lamb. Though the service was as always excellent, the lunch left a lot to be desired. The Gammon was the only meal enjoyed, not wanting to make a fuss my wife ate her fish and chips, which was tasteless, unseasoned and soggy. The plaice which my sister in law attempted was slimy and in her words the worst fish she had ever had.My burger was passable, but slightly undercooked, and the fat which oozed out of the patty as I squeezed it made the bun soggy. The puddings were good though. Shame really as we have had good meals here in the past.Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback, which is very important to us. We can only apologize that your food was not up to our usual high standards on this occasion.Your comments have been passed on to the kitchen team and we only hope that you will come back and dine with us in the near future.

Georgian country pub providing delicious fresh food, wine, beer and coffee. Friendly welcoming atmosphere.
From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome and at ease in the beautiful surroundings of this pub and the reception we had from staff. The food is exceptional and the service the same. We chose to sit in their gorgeous beer garden to eat our meal and our little boy, being very excited chose the highest part to sit in. This was still no trouble for the lovely publican who effortlessly walked the steps to deliver our meal. Good prices, great quality and not just dog friendly, but dog lovers. Even though we live in Cheltenham I have no doubt we will make the effort to visit again.

List of 17th century Coaching Inn full of lots of character open 7 days a week serving breakfast lunch and dinner to both residents and non residents. There's a friend and relaxed bar area with an open fire which on occasions will also have live acoustic
We picked this restaurant off the internet and we were very pleased with the reception. We had a table in a window seat and were allowed time to choose our lunch. The food was freshly cooked and I had fish in batter which just fitted the pate. We have logged the restaurant for another visit.

Having seen the tripadvisor reviews we decided to have our lunch in the Wyndham Arms. The food was excellent in both flavour and presentation, probably the best pub food I've ever had with very generous portions. The service was also excellent, and incredibly friendly. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, and we will definitely return.

The food here is really very good, especially the fish But meat dishes good too. there;s nothihg quite like it in the area. Very good service, welcoming owners. Roaring open fires, lovely giant dog (and dogs more than welcome, but not obtrusive). Good wines, good beers.

Awarded the Good Hotel Guide's award for best newcomer in 2017, The Royal Oak offers a chic and sophisticated but distinctly relaxed vibe. With a creative, seasonal menu, a reputation for some of the finest food in the area and six serene and extremely co
The food here is definitely not the normal pub food. We were staying in one of the neighbouring hamlets so took the short drive to The Royal Oak. The food here is a step up in standard and quality, the menu isnât massive but the food was beautifully presented, and of excellent quality. Highly recommend the beetroot cured salmon starter. The two waitresses were polite and helpful, both an asset to the team.

What a fab pub. What lovely staff! Always welcoming and a guaranteed smile. Superb real ale. Great wine but not expensive. Food is super. Their fish and chips are superb. Loved the ploughmanâs we had today too. All local cheese and ham. Great value also. Beautiful garden. Such wonderful attention to detail. Many pubs could learn from their style and humble approach. We will be back often.

I use to go to Compasses Inn regularly but in recent times had difficulty getting a room as they are always fully booked. So this trip we decided to make do with a meal, we were in the area doing walks that we used to do with our dog, he passed away last month, he particular;y used to like Compasses. So we reserved a table for lunch. Upon arrival we were early and the landlord was very accommodating given it was 45 minutes early. The starters were really good, very tasty and well cooked as well as presented. The main courses came, we both went for the fish and chips, and whilst the presentation was great as was the taste the portions were very small indeed, and did not offer value for money at all.We also noted that the service was good but the team lacked personality and whilst it was efficient it was not overly friendly.Having said that I still love the Compasses and would definitely return.

Very well presented country pub serving upmarket pub grub. Nice choice of wines by the glass and excellent homemade lemonade. First class service. Would definitely return. Very helpful when booking a table to include a 92year old with limited mobility. Not a big car park and the place was quite busy on a Monday lunchtime.
