The restaurant was clean; service was good; drinks were fine; there were plenty of TVs to watch the game(s); and I'll be blunt... The hostess, bartender and waitresses were better looking than I expected. It's a better than average Hooters by today's (politically correct) standards. But still an overall "average". All said, I'd go back again!

Cold Beer.. great burgers and wings.. and good service.. Normally I dont stop at chains when I travel, but it was close & convient.
Went in just for a look and to take some photos. The Bar Manager (Boots) and the customers were so friendly we stayed for a drink. Oldest bar in Texarkana and would have to be one of the friendliest if not the friendliest anywhere! Boots made me the best margarita!!
I was there on the first day of new owners so some things were a little out of whack, such as liquor and beer inventory. I had 2 coors light {not my brand} and a fried shrimp and onion ring platter and it was very good. The beers were only $2, and the platter was $12, I thought that was pretty good for a hotel bar.

Bottom line up front... This is an uninviting, unfriendly, smoke-filled hole in the wall. Every single person stairs at you when you walk in. Not a smile in the joint. Just "ICK". We couldn't leave fast enough.

We have a small bar that seats about 20 and a heated patio that seats about 90

Pop's Place has amazing food, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere. They are a bit more on the pricey side, so make sure to plan to spend. We stopped for lunch on a Saturday. It was a 10 minute drive at most off of I-30. Very easy to park, not too crowded.Very nice service, good IPA, really good food. The facility is outstanding. A rehabbed century old building, very nicely done. Well worth the extra drive away from the chain places along the interstate. We will return, and we recommend this brewpub.
