The state is also known by its Arabic honorific, Dāru l-Īmān ("Abode of Faith"). The coastal city of Kuala Terengganu which stands at the mouth of the broad Terengganu River is both the state and royal capital as well as the largest city in Terengganu. There are many islands located close to the coast of Terengganu state, such as Redang Island.

This is by far the best option (though more expensive) for a good meal in Perhentian. Nice setting and friendly staff. Dishes were brought almost instantly (but it was during low season with not so many people). Smoked salmon salad and BBQ fish were excellent. The chocolate souffle was not the best but still ok.

This restaurant serves great food for breakfast, lunch and dinner for great prices. It is the same sort of price as the other restaurants along Long Beach but better quality in my opinion. The service is excellent and staff very helpful. It's set back slightly from the beach but upstairs so has a good view. The restaurant doesn't serve alcohol (as with most other restaurants on Long Beach) but you also can't bring alcohol in. It has free wifi and they show a movie at 8pm every night.

Waited more than 1.5 hours for dinner. Food was very tasty but not sure if it's worth the wait. If you're lucky there may not be that many people.
