If you like to be treated rudely, bad service, unclean, then this is your place to be. We felt like we were inconveniencing them by having dinner there. Nothing came out right and of course they never apologized. There are many other family restaurants close by and you may want to try them instead.
Inspired by the adventures of fictitious legendary explorer, Kartrite Van Der Berris, this mountaintop restaurant features one-of-a-kind architectural designs. Open for dinner, Kartrite's Summit House offers up mouthwatering menu items, craft cocktails, f
My wife is a sucker for water views & trees especially during leaf peeping season. My experience is that the food served by most restaurants with spectacular views donât live up to the esthetics. This venue is no exception. The food was disappointing. I had the lobster Mac with cheese as an entree. Iâm still waiting for the lobster to make a guest appearance. My wife had the bouillabaisse. Her portion was minuscule. When she said something to the waiter, he brought the manager over who then insulted our intelligence by stating that there was 10 ounces of seafood in the dish which consisted of shelled clams, shelled muscles & a very small lobster tail also in the shell. I guess weighing the seafood with the shells makes it 10 ounces. The dish was expensive & after receiving the explanation from this manager, it made us feel cheated & taken advantage of.My wife & I both had a glass of wine. The glasses of wine were 20% higher than any other restaurant in the area. Our waiter was no bargain either. He placed water on the table in a bottle with a stopper in it. I guess it was do it yourself night because I had to remove the stopper & pour my own water. This might sound trivial but I noticed that all of the other waitstaff poured water for their patrons. He also immediately after each dish was placed on the table asked how everything was. I hate that! Give me 5 minutes to taste the food to tell you. How do I know how it is without tasting it!All in all, I satisfied my wifeâs need to eat in a restaurant with a spectacular view. It is in fact spectacular.Dear Steven G,Thank you for taking the time to share your experience while at Kartrite's Summit House. I'm really sorry to hear that we did not meet nor exceed your expectations. You are welcome to send an email to [email protected] and the General Manager of the restaurant will respond. Regards,

Second time I've stayed at the Howard Johnson's Hotel and I have dinner at Serengetti every night. Prime rib, King cut, for $19-cooked perfectly. Wing night on Wednesday's is a treat, dozen different sauces. Fasil is the owner and runs an excellent restaurant. Highly recommend when in the area! You won't be disappointed.

We were a party of seven and for five of us; this was our first visit at this restaurant. We heard a lot of good things about this place and everything we heard was true! We were greeted by the owner the minute we walked in the door. Since we were waiting for another couple, we sat at the bar for a drink. The owner also tended bar and made fantastic drinks. We had a Bloody Mary and a Southern Comfort Sour. Once our friends arrived, they ordered drinks and we were shown to our table. Our waitress was very friendly and explained items on the menu to us. Our appetizers came out and everyone was delicious! We had the Sampler, Mussels and Shrimp. Our waitress always asked if we wanted refills of our drinks without our having to ask. When our entrees were brought out, we could not wait to "dig in!" We had the Surf and Turf, the Rack of Lamb, the Pasta and Shrimp, the Prime Rib and the Pot of Seafood. Everyone kept saying how great their entrees were! For dessert we had Cannoliâs, Flan and flavored coffee. What a great night of friends, food and drink we had. The owner and his staff are absolutely wonderful! We will certainly be going back in the near future!

A very busy place but the service and food were great. Many choices on the menu. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the next week for dinner. It was very crowded and loud. Not a place for a intimate dinner. Service was still good.

After all the crowds and humidity in the air ,we decided to eat lunch here instead of the food court. Good decision, nice relaxing atmosphere, good food, cool and great service. Food was a little pricy but worth it not to eat at the hot crowded food court. Will definitely visit again
Later that evening I visited the bar near the lobby. After being ignored by an unfriendly waiter, I ordered a cocktail and a salad to go. The drink was watered down and the $9 salad was basically shredded lettuce. I asked for extra dressing and watched the "cook" use her teeth to open a packed of mayo for my "hand made" dressing. The bar was sticky as was the menu. Strangely coincidental, there were 4 other patron at the bar who described a very similar experience at Camelback. Foremost, we discussed the filthy conditions of the swim up bar, the lack of customer service, the unbelievably long check in line and we all watched the cook use her teeth to open the mayo packet. My family was very disappointed with the level of service and the quality of this establishment. It was not just one incident that led to this lengthy, honest and negative review. Camelback earned every single letter. As promised, here is my review.
Barley Creek's new Sports Bar. This location features PA Brews, Spirits and Wines. Since 1995 Barley Creek has been a Pocono landmark: a one-of-a-kind eatery, brewery, and small-batch distillery. The folks at Barley Creek thought it would be fun to bring
Was shopping with our family at the crossings and passed by the tasting room , they had the USA womenâs World Cup soccer match on so we stopped in for a few drinks and ended up staying for the whole game. Bartender and manager were very friendly talked to us about the place as well as offered us some suggestions from the drink menu. I had smoked old fashion which was excellent , my wife had a cosmo. there were plenty of activities for the kids even a piano that my daughter started playing ( who knew she could play ) . Food menu is limited , and food was ok had the grilled cheese sandwich as well as chips and salsa . Would stop in again if at the crossing. We almost missed this place as we rarely shop on that side of the crossings - but glad we found it !Thanks for the wonderful shout out.The Tasting Room opened April 2019 and is a new addition to the fun Barley Creek has been trying to create for our guests since opening the Original Barley Creek just up the road in 1995 - It's a work in progress - and the team is excited make it work and surprise everyone bold enough to check us out. Cheers - Trip R.
