In the area after a long day, we were hungry and just wanted to sit, have a drink or two and get some food. We were very pleased with the service on a Friday evening. I thought the beer selection could have been a little more varied, as there seemed to be a lot of beers, but many similar types. My hamburger was very good, cooked properly and juicy. My wifeâs crab cake was also good, although not lump crabmeat. The side salad was huge! As well as the side of fries - which were cooked to perfection and a golden brown! Delicious!

Craft brewery in Silver Spring, MD with 2-level taproom, 200-seat dog-friendly beer garden, 10 rotating taps, and made-for-beer fare.
This is a craft brewery outlet, and as such, it boasts a remarkable beer selection. The guys serving the beer are also great, very engaging and enthusiastic. There's a large outside patio and an indoor sitting area. That said, outside of beer and the staff, this is a pretty average place. Nothing remarkable about the location, nor about food.

As everyone says, this is a neighborhood institution and absolutely worth going to. But I thought the burgers were supposed to be terrific, and ours definitely weren't. I asked for medium rare and got a McDonalds-looking brown, non-juicy burger. Looked even browner than my companion's, who asked for medium. Lettuce was shredded, so it kept falling off the burger. Bun was terrific but that wasn't enough to make up for the disappointing burger aspect.I don't mind paying $12+ for a burger if it is really good, but this is overpriced for what it was. Also, the cheese selection did not include swiss or provolone.Waiter was very nice, but somebody forgot the onion rings so they were served as dessert He also forgot the mayo and old bay spice we requested, so we had to ask again and wait to get them.
My and my girlfriend went to this little bar on a whim after work for happy hour and haven't been disappointed since. This great little spot is right down the street from the "hustle and bustle" of downtown Silver Spring. Its nice and quiet, perfect for unwinding after a long day at work. The Happy Hour menu is really good, definitely not the usual bar food....the jalepeno poppers(nice BIG fresh jalepenos..HOT HOT) as well as their burger topped with fried egg and bacon are DELICIOUS! But its the super diverse drink menu/skilled bartenders that sets this place apart. So many different drink creations to choose from, but a Private Dancer for me and a rum/bourbon (something "Quack") for my girl and its a start of a good night. Combine that with the great servers, low/warm ambiance and chill tunes and you got a great start to the weekend! Two thumbs up for Sidebar!!!

The food is hit-or-miss and Mike has resisted including many vegan or vegetarian options, despite a growing range of tasty options. It's geared towards folks who like a super loud (aka "vibrant") atmosphere. I prefer to hear my table mates.Been going for 20-some years. Love the shop and his leadership in the community, but we've found the restaurant lackluster, given the growing options.
