This restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining, not from the Port Jefferson ferry. We were outside on a sunny day for lunch, and it was beautiful. The restaurant can be easily missed since it is directly off a parking lot.We each had one appetizer and a salad. I had a crab cake which was outstanding! It was fresh, made on-site by the chef, not, pre-made. Unlike other crab cay I have had, it was not filled with bread crumbs. My husband had a shrimp cocktail, 3 jumbo shrimp. We both had salads, were excellent. We are glad that you and your husband enjoyed your crab cake, shrimp cocktail, and salads! We greatly appreciate the review and hope you dine with us again.

Sat at the bar for a couple hours with some old friends. Seemed everybody knew each other. Typical bunch of regulars. The bartenders were busy most of the night trying to check things off their corporate To-Do list, so getting their attention was a bit tough. Wings were blah, and the entrée stale. Not a great experience.

The food at this particular Miller's location is 2 steps up above other locations. Takeout is always ready when we pick up. Very friendly service.

The Bench is a sports bar that has a typical menu. The Bench Burger is delightful. While the bun could use improvement it is better than most. The burger was cooked as ordered, rare, and was excellent. The toppings: onions, lettuce and tomato were fresh and flavorful (the cheese was an after thought.) The fries were just crisp enough and flavorful. The staff (there was only one in evidence) was cheerful, efficient and altogether delightful.

We visited on a weeknight in May. The restaurant was not crowded, and we were seated quickly. After looking over the menu we decided to try the pork wings appetizer - which were excellent - along with a mix of drinks, all of which were good. For entrees we had bacon Mac and cheese (one of the best we ever tried), burgers and French dip (all good). On the Public House burger, although the burger was very good I was not a huge fan of the tomato based relish. Overall a good visit - we will be.back when in the area.

My family has been coming here for Thanksgiving for about 5 years now. The food is delicious, service is excellent and best of all...no cleaning :) You can enjoy your family without all the stress. It's definitely worth the cost, you will get your money's worth.
