Fifteens Standish has an eclectic décor with space and light, interesting furniture and feature walls. Great, fresh, traditional food is sourced locally and served by local people.
We called in for drinks prior to eating elsewhere. The place was buzzing!Admittedly it was the evening of ladies day at Aintree, but putting that to one side, the vibe was superb. The drinks were well presented and reasonably priced. The staff, although under a lot of pressure were outstanding.

We had our third visit to the Boars Head yesterday afternoon. The main course meals are absolutely lovely, I had the gammon an hubby had the fish an chips. Both were generous portions and of good quality, however the apple crumble was a bit of a let down. The apple was very hard an the crumble was different to how you would expect it to be. Looking at some of the bad reviews on wait times for food, I do think it depends on the time of day when you go on the quality of service you receive. The 2 previous times we have been, we too were waiting a very long time for the food, yet on the whole the food is good. It would be great if the option for a 3 or 2 course separate menu were available though besides the current menu.

A family run pub serving homemade Pub Classics, open from noon daily, serving food until 9pm Monday _ Saturday and 7.30 pm Sunday. Disabled facilities and a beer garden with parking available to the rear of the pub
Visited on a busy Thursday evening. A friendly local pub with houses nearby so be quiet as you leave! Good selection of reasonably priced meals & a good selection of beers. Servings are large and the chicken and mushroom stroganoff was well presented and pretty good. For dessert, I had to have the chocolate fudge cake which was pretty amazing.

The Corner House dates back to the 1830âs and has been a hostelry, wheelwrights and blacksmiths before being given a facelift and the new name of The Corner House in 2012. First and foremost now - it's all about our passion for good food, a warm welcome a
The Corner House is the essence of a good country pub. Service is impeccable, with a great and well thought out menu. The starters and mains were perfectly cooked with great attention to detail. The staff were attentive and courteous whilst serving, but not overly so as is sometimes the case in some pubs. A special mention and enormous thanks to the staff for helping our friend out when she became poorly. Their response was amazing and they did everything they could to help. Itâs good to know that there are some genuinely good people out there who help in a difficult situation. Thank you.

We went with friends for a few drinks to The Albion. After getting the drinks, we went into the beer garden since, for a change, the sun was out. It was a nice little sun trap in there. A few locals were also in the and the main bar bar quite full due to a football match being on TV. The selection of real ales was quite good with a variety of brews to choose from and the bar service was good too.

My Wife and I go to the Charnley Arms regular on a Thursday and really enjoy the Food, Staff and the place itself. We find it quite a relaxing place, service from the staff, in our opinion is excellent, very friendly and nothing is to much trouble for them. The food is always hot and tasty, they have a lot of different food choices to order. You will not find anything cheaper in the Standish area, very good value for the money. Drinks are good and very reasonable prices. This time I wanted Fish, chips and peas, I asked if i could have Gravy with my meal, asked the staff, no problem and got it at no extra charge, hows that for service. We both really enjoyed our sweet, delicious. Talking to the young Assistant Manger, Fred, what a really nice guy and wish him all the success in his career with the company. Thanks to all the staff for your Friendly Service every time we come here. CheersHi Terry W!Firstly thank-you for a fantastic review, we're so glad that our efforts as a team don't go without notice and appreciation! A warm and friendly pub serving restaurant quality food, as well as a large variety of real ales and an extensive gin bar
Went for a family meal on a Sunday evening. All four of us really enjoyed our meals. We had cock and bull, rump steak and chicken burgers. Empty plates all round. Good homemade chips and very tasty onion rings. One of many good meals we've had at the foresters.

Albert's Standish is a stunning restaurant and bar which also has a private dining room and 2 private event spaces. The restaurant space can accommodate dining for 200 guests and a fabulous covered and heated outside dining terrace perfect for alfresco di
So disappointed, how we didn't walk out without paying amazes me...just dreadful. The best thing they could would be to shut the doors and re-train from the top down and start again. We are regulars at Albers Shed in Manchester so were really looking forward to trying Standish, won't be rushing back.Starters subsituted for alternatives without consulation (tomato soup instead of carrot and corriander/sea food risotto instead of squid-no consultaion, jut brought to the table without explaination.1 hot starter served stone cold and inedible, replaced after considerable wait well after others had finished.Mains served lukeward at best and had obviously been standing for some time.Totally unprepared and under trained staff (who did their best) who were left "hung out to dry" to sort things out.Happless management.Very noisy. No apology received other than from the poor waitress, nothing from management. No offer of recompence, not even a coffee by way of apology. No reply to email sent to management after the event.Left us just wanting to leave ASAP, mind blowingly AWFUL...AVOIDWe are disappointed to read this review, we never wish any guest to leave the restaurant unhappy. Please would you mind sending me an email to [email protected] so that we can investigate into what happened. Please would you mind also including what name the booking was under, the date and time of the booking.
