It is a Chinese Buffet but it also has a la carte menu. Went quite a few times in the old days with friends we we got back from fishing on Rideau. I also went back in august and the food was still good, not too many options as in other Chinese buffets but still good ones. The food is mostly specific of south of china with only a couple of choices from the north. If you are heading to Carleton Place from Smiths Falls and you want to try a good Chinese buffet without the tons of oil you can find in some of this kind of restaurants, you should stop at this one is on the other side of the street from Mr. Grey gas station.

My second trip to Smiths Falls in a year, and I have had a difficult time finding a nice restaurant with good food! The Axe & Arrow was the best meal I have had yet there! My friend and I shared the Antojitoâs as an appetizer. My friend had a Cali salad, which looked very large with lots of chicken! I had the jambalaya which was also a nice portion. Everything was very flavourful! I will definitely be keeping this place on my list next time I am in town!

Came here for the Fish and Chips.. heard through the grapevine it was really good.We were NOT disappointed. There was a group of us celebrating my Birthday. Wait staff are SPECTACULAR, food was AMAZING! Ambiance is very comfortable! We will go here again FOR SURE!

I travelled to Smiths Falls this past week to visit family and ended up at Matty O'Shea's for dinner. The server recommended the fish and chips. The three people I was with tried the fish and chips. It was really good. I tried the burger with garlic Parmesan waffle fries. Everything was excellent.

We visited Matty O'Shea's Pub this past weekend while in Smith falls for a Hockey Tournament. We were a large group of aprox. 30 people and the staff did an amazing job serving us all. The consensus among our group was that the food was great and enjoyed by everyone! I personal ordered the steak with added sauteed mushroom and the steak was cooked perfectly at med-rare and very flavorful. The waffle fries with garlic butter and parm cheese are a fantastic treat! The servings were generous. A person in our group had the Matty O'Shea Burger with peanut butter and said it was fantastic. It was so go they had it again for dinner!The singing of Happy Birthday and the brownie was a fun surprise, thank you!The staff handled our large group so well and were very organized. They were attentive and the atmosphere was enjoyable, fun and relaxing.We had a person in our group with mobility issues and they had no trouble in the restaurant. Well done to everyone we will be back for sure.
