We wish this chain would be more consistent. We came for a late lunch and were very pleased with the food and the service. Judging by the other reviews this is not always the case. Our waitress, MaryJo, was helpful and attentive. Our burger bites and molten chocolate cake were served hot and perfectly cooked. This was a very nice, convenient break on a shopping day.

I requested a seat outside because itâs a beautiful day. I was given a menu. 10 minutes went by during which two other parties were seated outside. A waitress finally appeared And proceeded to take the order of a couple that arrived after I did. After taking their order, she looked right through me and proceeded to take the order of a group that had also arrived after me. I pointed out to her that I had arrived first, At which point she asked me what I wanted, and I said nothing. As I got up to leave I heard this waitress and the larger group laughing. Not so much as an apology for leaving me sitting there for 10 minutes as if I were invisible. I will never eat here again. Extremely rude service.I am sorry that Caitlin did not approach you first when she got out to the Deck. Unfortunately our bartender scheduled for Thursday lunch called out sick forcing Caitlin to set up the bar and the restaurant with help from me. There were a number of customers who had just sat at the bar and tables inside the pub when you walked in as I was leaving to pick up some plant at a local nursery with a landscaper who had arranged to take me to the Nursery and help select plants at their annual customer appreciation day. Of course being short one employee puts a strain on service and we did manage to get another server to come in early to help, but he did not arrive until 30 minutes after you left unhappy. After I sat you, I did seat two other groups on the deck and Caitlin made it out within a couple minutes, not 10. Caitlin intended to get everyone's orders on the deck before returning inside as that is the most time efficient way to work. I am sorry she approached the first table that closest to the door she came out rather than asking who was sat first. She told me that she did apologize three time to you and I believe her. She is a little meek sometimes and you may not have understood her. I don't think anyone on the deck was laughing at you. People do joke a bit to relieve a stressful situation as when someone is upset and leaves abruptly. When I gave you a menu I thought everything was good for you. I wish I had taken your order to get things started for you, but I was distracted by our landscaper and project I needed to complete that afternoon. If there is anyway I can make things right for you, please contact Scott at the pub.
If you are looking for a place that has a nice array of beers on tap, is clean, has pool tables AND Keno - then check out Hoops and Hops. The friendly staff and the ability to get something good to eat from Antonios (located right next door) makes this place popular with the locals.

t's been 6 months or so since my last review of the Old Well Tavern. Once again they out did themselves. We started with fried mozzarella sticks. 8 or 10 soft tasty pieces inside of a crisp shell served with tomato sauce/salsa dip. I opted for a cup of their turkey soup. If you like soup, a bowl of this would be a sufficient meal. It was outstanding. For our main courses : my wife had the chicken Cobb salad and had to bring home close to 1/2 of it. I had the full rack of ribs served with baked beans, cole slaw and cornbread, I also doggy bagged 1/2 of my dinner. The portions are that generous. One or both of the owners is usually on site. They are both very personable and enthusiastic about what they do. Service was excellent as always. If you haven't tried The Old Well you really are missing out on one of the better providers of BBQ and pub style food in the area. We look forward to our next visit

Dropped in whilst staying in the area and wish we hadnât. The house salad had been in the house for some time! Limp lettuce & dried tomatoes from being cut and left out too long. Poor quality food and definitely not a gastropub as billed - more like gastroenteritis!

Beautiful exterior and interior, with lots of red stone (d'oh!), wooden tables, clean floor. Felt a lot like bars in Ireland or Britain but more spacious.Food is limited to sandwiches and a few apps, but ours were tasty.Nice beer selection (Stone Ruinator!). Guinness on tap. Cozy feel. Will be back.

We were staying at the Simsbury Inn and wanted to grab a quick lunch before going to the pool. We had a great experience and our waitress was really kind and we enjoyed talking with her. We all had a sandwich of type and there was nothing we could complain about. We also got dessert and it was delicious. Definately would recommend.

Good times, made locally. So we had this idea. That food can bring people together in a bunch of different ways. Neighbors with neighbors. Locals with local ingredients. And bourbon lovers with bourbons worth loving. In 2006, our idea became; b Restaurant
Sat at the beautiful bar and the bartender provided exceptional service. Friendly, offering samples, responsive to our concerns. Great tap menu. Food menu was great but food itself was meh...my husband's taco came without the promised pick de Gallo, which the bartender immediately provided. She could not fix the obvious fact that his meal had sat too long under a light. My fish was overcooked. We saw at least 1 other meal go back to the kitchen during our short visit. Beautiful place, great service. .but the kitchen needs workHi BeautifulVox, Thank you for the great review on our service and atmosphere. We appreciate your feedback in regards to the kitchen as we are always looking for ways to improve. If you have additional comments, please feel free to message us directly. We look forward to seeing you again, soon!
