I've never been that impressed by "The Lyndon" on my previous visits. A pallor of misreablism seemed to hang heavy over the whole place, and the staff all seemed to adopt a surly de-fault position that curdled the ale. I always found it hard to relax in such an atmosphere.But despite myself I found myself going back there a couple of weeks ago and found there has been a sea change since my last visit. Everybody seemed brighter and happier, which gave the whole pub a different, much more pleasant atmosphere and at last I found myself warming to it. The duty bar staff even managed to wreath us in smiles and a willingness to serve, which I'm afraid to say wasn't always the case here.The food, which to be fair was always pretty good, seems to have gone up a notch and is very generously portioned and excellent value for money.I may never become a regular at "The Lyndon", but I shall certainly be going back willingly again pretty soon.Thank you very much for your review. Since taking over 2 years ago we have tried to bring a sense of life and happiness back into the place. All our staff our highly trained and are a fantastic asset to us. We are pleased that your experience with us was a pleasant one with us and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Gave this restaurant/pub another chance as far as eating there again and most definitely it will not get a 3rd !.l had Checked the menu online and decided that as advertised the lemon piri piri chicken with salad was a good idea,only to be told when ordering that St Bernards Grange do not do it,then why is it advertised l asked the bar person ?,so settled on a jacket potatoe with a grilled chicken breast and a salad, told that it wasn't necessary to order a salad as a jacket potatoe comes with it, well if a slice of cucumber half a tomatoe and a lettuce that would fit into a childs palm constitutes a salad so be it !!! The jacket was one of the worst l have tasted,the chicken was the only saving grace although it had been flattend down so it was quicker to cook l presume! my partners scampi he informed me was fine but said the chips and mushy peas were not very appetising so decided to leave them well alone and my granddaughter's burger she chose from the kids menu was also ok but she would have liked the cheese to have been melted on top of the patty,would have liked to have shown our disappointementioned to the waitress who served us but alas we didn't see her or any other member of staff again during or after our visit so sorry to say we will not be eating there again.Jackie307, we regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around.

We ordered the mixed seafood platter to share. When it came out it was all battered, so we were slightly disappointed, only to be completely surprised with how fresh and tasty that the seafood was. We had heard about the food here, but we arrived on a friday night slightly dubious in the surroundings... once inside it was a little raucous as you would expect on a Friday night, but then we went to the food area. It was very busy but we managed to get a table. The food was reasonably priced, but the best thing is how authentic it tasted. The staff were all lovely and efficient (they had to be to serve all the volume of customers!).Pleasantly surprised, will definitely visit again!

Was delighted to find this place. Great concept - craft beer and curry! The décor and ambiance are good. The menu is limited but offers a wide enough range of choices.Great choice of draught beers from around the world including a very drinkable bottled alcohol free lager.I chose lamb keema and plain rice. I was disappointed not to see pilau rice. The keema was very dry and so mildly spiced it didn't taste at all like an Indian at all. As the food was delivered, it was steaming so much, it looked like it was straight from the microwave.Not an impressive first try, but I'm willing to give it another go.

Went twice this weekend as part of the pub's three year anniversary.Fantastic as always-great selection of beers, friendly and knowledgeable hosts, and the same could be said of those who frequent the establishment.Why can we only score out of five? A score out of ten would not be enough!
