Charming Savannah is the picture of antebellum hospitality, thanks to period architecture and oak-lined streets. It’s tempting to spend your trip just relaxing on vast verandas and sipping mint juleps, but there are plenty of historical sites and museums to explore. Haunting (and possibly haunted) Bonaventure Cemetery is one of the hallmarks of the city, featuring beautiful obelisks, masses of flowers, and ivy-covered crypts. Dine on fresh seafood and creamy grits for a taste of Savannah home cooking.

We were in Savannah for 2 nights and after eating the usual steaks & burgers for the past 10 days we thought we would try some typical pub grub. The four of us went in on the first night which was a Friday and a young lady served us who was very pleasant and attentive. Between us we had Shepherds Pie, Fish & Chips and Chicken Pot Pie which was all excellent. As we enjoyed the food so much and there was nice atmosphere we all agreed that we would go back for a second night. Oh what a mistake. We were served by a guy who took our drinks order then followed on with the food order. My wife decided to have something light so went for a Caesar Salad. Well it came out and consisted of some course outside greens with a sprinkling of Parmesan Cheese. My wife called the server back to ask if that was it and where were the Croutons on the menu, to which the reply was â yes but we havenât got any Croutonsâ.So we said âyou donât expect us to pay $9 for this do youâ Although there was no reply it was knocked off the bill. The first bill we got had two wines on it, one at $6 and one at $9 which we had consumed together with 3 coffees which we had not. We called the server across and pointed this out and we then got a new bill with the coffee knocked off but one wine had now increased to $12. As we were getting nowhere with the server I approached the bar and pointed out the bill discrepancies to the guy behind the bar who was most belligerent and offered no explanation. We felt they were trying to recoup the losses for the Caesar Salad. If you walk in and a young lady is the server then you have a good chance of good service and a good meal. If itâs a scruffy guy in a kilt, go elsewhere. Thanks for coming in and taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear about your second visit not being as good as your first. We strive for the best possible service and sounds like we dropped the ball here. I will be discussing this issue with my staff. Did you happen to ask for the manager? We definitely would have wanted to make things right for you. I hope you'll give us another chance down the road

Go here, eat. Period. The seafood here was amazing and the margaritas even better. The cool part of this place was the building itself. Built of ballast from ships that came to the US to pick up products and take them back to Europe. Very cool. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. Had a wonderful birthday dinner for my friend. Great time and amazing food. That's about it!

Make a reservation now, because thereâs nothing ordinary about this place! Our Sunday brunch was incredible, made even better by our fabulous server Cassie. While the veggie tacos and grilled cheese and soup were great, the standout menu option was steak, eggs and grits. Youâll get a huge plate with flank steak cooked to order, drizzled with a perfect chimichurri sauce, on top of a huge pile of Gouda-studded grits. Iâm smiling just thinking about it. To drink, they have four really unique Bloody Mary options (Bloody Tommy if you love spicy verde) and a truly delicious collection of cold brew coffee-based cocktails (try the Southern Russian!) $12 bottomless mimosas are always a win; when youâre ready to leave, youâll even get a Togosa (to-go mimosa) to sip as you stroll. Nope. Nothing ordinary here!

Savannah's neighborhood joint featuring Coastal area Farmers and American craft brewers.
The atmosphere is nice and relaxing, laid back. The food is all so fresh. The pimento spread was my favorite as an appetizer and on my cheeseburger as shown in the picture. When we received the cheese ball I asked the waitress if any nuts were used because I have an allergy. The waitress checked and notified us that no there were no nuts in the spread but she remembered that I ordered the veggie burger and told me that the burger had nuts. The veggie burger seems to be what they are known for and I was very excited to try it. I did not see a nut warning on the menu , but I may have easily overlooked it. I am very thankful for the attentiveness of our waitress to catch this and save me from having a dangerous reaction. The beef burger was delicious, even though I wanted the veggie ! We enjoyed our visit and everyone had something they liked !! I can easily say I recommend.

Savannah's oldest restaurant and bar has been feeding hungry Savannahians and visitors for over 75 years! Your host, John Nichols is committed to providing you with a great meal, value for your dollar, efficient, friendly service and a good stiff drink! W
Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon while walking around Savannaâs Historic District. It is a few blocks from anything but worth the walk. They say there is nearby parking but because I was walking I didnât pay attention if there is a lot. There was plenty of street parking.CBP is a large place with a long bar, a couple different dining spaces, with tables, booths and high-tops. Several TVâs were tuned to NFL football but the sound was off or low. The feeling was much more a historic neighborhood gathering place than a sports bar. The crowd seemed equal parts locals and tourists. The bartender and servers were welcoming, quick with recommendations and eager to please. I mentioned to my server a family member with a number of food allergies and she immediately provided an allergy-informed menu, emphasized their practice to avoid cross-contamination of fryers and suggested calling ahead to confirm conforming ingredients and preparation. This was impressive and more consideration than Iâve experienced at much more expensive restaurants. So the important thing is the food, right? The menu is long with offerings to satisfy any taste. Seafood, pasta, salads, burgers, special meat and fish entrees and deserts. I enjoyed the meatloaf burger with sautéed veggies. The meatloaf was served on a bottom bun, topped with a hefty helping of mashed potatoes, all covered with beef gravy. Delicious! Observing others it was apparent people were choosing from all sections of the menu and several people commented they couldnât finish their dish. I finished my meal with âGeorgiaâs best peach cobblerâ with ice cream. It, too, was a large portion, served hot with vanilla ice cream. Hard to finish but even harder not to!Whether a local or a tourist, Iâm confident you will find friendly service, a great meal and a high-value experience well worth the short walk to CBP. It is not a five star or five dollar-sign restaurant. Itâs just a comfortable place with good food.My internal compass tells me it is located on an imaginary line between the Residence Inn and Forsyth Park.

We stopped in for drinks following our dinner at the Olde Pink House. This place is very cool. It's in the basement level of the Olde Pink House and has very low ceilings, stone walls, etc. It feels like you're in on a great secret. There was live piano music and there were candles lit along the bar. It's dark and cozy and a great place to visit.
