Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co.'S original taproom in Buellton features indoor and outdoor table seating plus a brew deck overlooking the brewing facility with all of their core beers on tap and ready "to go" in bottles. You can also choose from a rotating
Not being pea soup fans (the local delicacy), we opted for local brew. This is a cool spot. The outdoors area has plenty of comfy seating. Service is friendly. This is a laid back spot to just hang out.Hi! Thank you for the review, we are so glad you had a good time with us. Hope to see you here soon :)

My wife and I were excited to experience this historic and charming restaurant during our stay in the even more charming town of Los Olivos. First, the good. The building is historic and nicely restored to recall its late 1800's stagecoach stop beginnings. The restaurant staff that helped us were welcoming, friendly, personable, and appropriately attentive (thanks Brian and Beatrice). We enjoyed hearing the story of the restaurant/hotel's past, restoration, and the new management's story. The bar was vibrant, and crowded with local folk in cowboy hats engaged in friendly conversation. The only downside, and this is truly unfortunate, is that the meal itself was significantly subpar. There is another Yelp review of this restaurant that is critical of the arugula salad, as being little more than a healthy stack of arugula with nothing really to distinguish it. Well, we really like arugula, and we frankly forged ahead, ignoring this review as perhaps being an aberration. We were wrong, and the reviewer was right. Priced at about $13, the arugula salad really has little going for it. Sad to say, if you were to buy a tub of arugula at the supermarket for $5 and heaped it on a plate with a vinaigrette and a few walnuts/cranberries/cheese, you could do as well for yourself with very little effort. There were a few bad arugula leaves in the salad, leading me to believe that this is essentially what the kitchen did. For an entree, I had the rack of lamb, for $42. The lamb presentation was fine, and the portion was ample. However, I was quite surprised and disappointed to find that the lamb had very little flavor. My wife shared the lamb with me, and we agreed that the lamb was simply quite bland. I will say that Mattei's kitchen turns out a very nice mint sauce (not a mint jelly, thank goodness), which helped to salvage the lamb. Unfortunately, I think we can all agree that mint sauce should complement the lamb flavor, not provide it.We skipped dessert, as frankly, we were not optimistic. In sum, this is an historic stagecoach stop restaurant that sadly serves modern truck stop fare. At $30-$50 per entree, Mattei's is competing in a dining segment that brings high expectations. Although Los Olivos is a small town, there are far, far, better dining options available in town, for the price. Overall, our experience at Mattei's was disappointing.

My husband and I enjoyed dinner at this restaurant. We had been there before and knew that the establishment became very busy around dinner time. We were staying in Buellton, so we opted to have dinner around 5:30, beating the busy dinner crowd. In years past, we had a wait time because of the crowd. It has definitely been a popular spot for drinks and food. We had great service and food.

First, theyâve moved to a new location â just down the street. Donât go to the old location and be disappointed to find yet another wine tasting stop where a great beer tasting stop used to be. We love the new, much larger, location â itâs a great beer hall! We headed straight to the bar and ordered what we always order here â four excellent beers in an IPA tasting flight! They offer two or three other flight options, but we seem to start and stop with their IPAs, including a coconut version this time! When I saw that one in the lineup I was prepared to be unimpressed. Nope. I was impressed â they pulled it off, by keeping the coconut taste very subtle. Just enough to notice and enjoy â not enough to get in the way of the beer. After all is said and done, we remain dedicated fans of the Lizardâs Mouth and Hoppy Poppy IPAs. On this visit, though, we added a pint of a dark Irish stout and loved it, too. The bar staff here are always friendly and engaging. Ask for their recommendations â they know their beer. They have started serving a nitro option or two here, but its availability is periodic. They didnât have it on this stop, which only serves as a reason to go back. There was a woman selling great looking sandwiches just outside the front door. They appeared to be very popular given the number of them we saw inside. We didnât inquire about the availability of any other food options in the new location. Chips and pretzels are available. Live music starts here sometime between 2:00 and 3:00PM (at least on the weekends; not sure about weekdays). Itâs always been good music when weâve been there. Thereâs a darts room in the back and some outside seating for days when itâs not too hot.We will return â soon!

We had great food. The service was excellent and the beer was cold. Great atmosphere. This was our 2nd time here and we will definitely be back. I highly recommend Solvang Brewing for food and for refreshments. We came in late and they were very welcoming.

Great stop for burgers! Chose the slider and salad and it was the perfect amount of food. The salad parts (cucumber, tomatoes, mushrooms) could have been chopping up a little more, but all the ingredients were fresh. The toilet in one of the single-person restrooms didnât flush after my use, but I reported it to the staff and they said they would get on it.

Not really fair to evaluate the restaurant on this particular night as the spill over crowd from the park was ridiculous. Saying that, I think the staff tried really hard to take care of everyone the best they could and kept their sense of customer service alive. The food was not very good though and that wasn't because of the rush, don't order mac & cheese in a pub but my husband wasn't keen on his fish n chips either which should have been a no brainer. Stick to the beer maybe??Iâm sorry to hear you didnât enjoy the food this time around. We usually have people rave about it. We were very busy that day and down a staff member, I hope you can give us another chance next time youâre in town and we can knock it out park for you!

Old west look. This place gets really hopping on weekends and when there is live music. We went with friends for lunch on a weekday and it was pretty slow. Food was adequate. Well stocked bar with a few local beers.
