Stopped by for a sunset dinner(sat outside but couldnât see sunset ) Place was busy and we got the Doner Fries that weâre different and outstanding used the garlic aioli and the chipotle ketchup to enhance the food. We were stuffed along with great service Adela we will return! Great prices too....

I walked by this pub several times before finally stopping in for beers. I can't speak to the food, but the beer list was extensive and included some great drafts, so my rating is based on solely on the beers. Very cool place.

This busy corner bar is big and hopping in the Gaslamp area. Happy Hour M-F 3-6pm has half off beers and draws locals and tourists alike. Some big communal tables, lots of bar space and outside tables too. I liked sitting at the bar counter overlooking the sidewalk and street action. Great friendly service. Check out the beautiful bathroom with the chandelier before you mosey back out into the city and on to the next place.

One of the larger and older California craft breweries. The smaller downtown Columbia St location has been at this spot for many years but now there are numerous other craft breweries in the Columbia/Kettner/India district. Karl Straus is worth a visit for it's friendly staff, good beer and nice food. Somewhat smallish streetside patio seating is available. Be aware they add another 3% surchage fee on top of the local tax.Thank you for the feedback and for being a fan of Karl! Cheers!

A block or two from Petco Park Half Door Brewery is a convenient place to stop for a bite before the game. The place was packed on the Saturday that we stopped. It was one 10 breweries on the agenda that day. It was also the most disappointing one of the day. The beers that I tried were uneventful. Went to have a bite to eat and some wine. Ordered 2 entrees and wine. Never Again. The duck nachos were bland and dry. The octopus, well lets just say 1 small octopus leg, was not worth even ordering. I wake up today, to find out they overcharged me an additional $10.00 on my credit card. Notified the bank to block any further charges. I will let my colleagues at the Exchanges in NYC and Chicago know not to spend a dime there. Ever.
