We visited this pub on New Years Eve lunch. In their special menu they offered chicken breast with forest mushrooms and cheese, orange sauce and creamy garlic potatoes. This meal was the best that I tasted in Saaremaa! In general it was very cozy place with friendly and professional staff. They were very attentive. We liked that pub is dog friendly. Reasonable prices. ABBA covers played by piano. Rich taste Vana Tallinn coffee created miracle atmosphere:)

Great location and views to the beautiful Castle from their terrace. Really interesting interior, for example part of old bus is their bar counter(look at my pic). Unfortunately service was unattentive and slow. Our waitress sit on the bench talking with her friend and we had to go inside to pay. Before that we had to wait our ice teas for awhile and when she brought those, she didn't say anything(and in Estonia every younger person speaks English).

In our first review of this place we said that we would never return but the same friends who came with us the last time wanted to go as their friend was serving at the bar. The Lokaal had a big well-stocked bar and as you look round big red booths. We had to agree what a difference, this barman was all smiles and gave us excellent service. I was told it all depends whoâs serving on as to what service you get. We all had beers and viru valge vodkas. We will go again if this good barman is there.

Their cheeseballs contain ham and it wasn't mentioned on the menu..there was literally written just ''cheeseballs''. Why is that not okay? Hmm. If you're a meat-eater, you probably won't care and might even appreciate it. On the other hand, if you are a vegetarian or a pescetarian etc (someone who doesn't eat meat), and will be eating half a plate of these cheeseballs with ham (which by the way fit into the mouth perfectly so you needn't even break them into pieces before eating-- I honestly thought it was some smoky paprika seasoning on there, before my bf took one and recognized ham taste since he is a meat-eater, and saw little tiny bits of ham) without knowing...then it's just gross. It might be my fault that I wasn't diligent enough in asking beforehand if there was any meat in the cheeseballs. But honestly, not one time in those hundreds of times I've eaten cheeseballs anywhere has there ever been anything besides cheese in them if it was not written on the menu. I'll be smarter now, but just a fair warning to veggie peeps here. You just gotta make sure. All the other appetizers were good though. And the waiter was quite apologetic and recommended their Cheddar bites instead. But the gross feeling of being cheated into eating something you don't consciously choose to eat is extremely unpleasant and will taint the memory of this place.

This was very very nice surprise! The service was fast and very friendly. The pizza and the burger tasted very good... or actually excellent! The prices are quite low... Plus they had very nice music and totally awesome atmosphere. Me like!
