Previously known as Brutke's Wagon Wheel, this restaurant has undergone a menu, decor, and name change just recently. The owner has owned the restaurant for five years and has slowly made changes so as to not alienate old customers. We'd never eaten at Brutke's and, because of the name, wouldn't have been inclined to. The new menu has a good variety of entree salads, appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, and fish. We enjoyed the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich (large enough for two small eaters). The bread was fresh, soft, and warm. The prime rib is made in- house and was tender and flavorful. The onions and peppers were crunchy and hot, not limp and overcooked. Kudos for their dinner salads too which were served on chilled plates with very fresh lettuce and a variety of other veggies. I'd give them five stars except the ambiance has a certain unfinished look. Several walls were completely bare. Also, the music drifting in from the bar was hard rock and not conducive to relaxing. We were so impressed with the food though that we will return! We want to try the bay shrimp salad; saw one pass our table loaded with a mound of shrimp. I'm pleased to be their first reviewer and the one who added them to Trip Advisor.
We've only been here a couple times, but want to go more often. They make great tacos on Taco Tuesday. They have lots of TVs and a great selection of local beers along with a full bar. I've known the owner Rick Merlino since he was in high school and he has really become quite the businessman owning this and the Oakland Tavern. He also recently has added a covered patio behind the building.

About 30 people attended a going away part for a friend. We had two lanes for bowling (obvious not everyone bowled) but the majority of us ordered food from the Splitz Restaurant and Bar. It has a full bar with multiple micro brews and ciders on tap. We ordered pizza, nachos, burgers, french fries, and salads. The food was delivered to our lanes. The food was good. We had a great time and the bowling was a hit.great food and beverages.
Just a rustic, local pub with a small menu, but friendly people, good food and great prices make it a favorite!! The outside covered outdoor patio with TV is the nicest we've seen in Oregon. Inside has pool, shuffleboard and Lotto. We enjoyed the Chilli burger, fish & chips and prime rib on a previous weekend. Good selection of beer, wine and cocktails make it a great stop.

Several friends and myself decided to try the newer brewery in town. The first thing you see is the plexiglass, walled-in actually brewery! Several tanks and brewery equipment are right there on the floor. The bar, with room for 10-12 people is to the right. Stairs on the right wall lead to a loft overlooking the remainder of the lower area. There is spacious seating both up stairs and on the main floor. We ordered our beverages at the bar and food at the established kiosk. My friends ordered the various brews and I was very pleased the pineapple cider was on tap. Needless to say we had several rounds of food and drink. It was all very good. The servers were very friendly and engaging. It was entertaining watching the barman pour various selected beers into cans and then seal them in to go. Much better than glass growlers.Definitely a nice establishment and gaining very quickly in popularity for all ages.
A fantastic place to stop for lunch. Just a sandwich shop but Sharon always buys the best ingredients. My favorite place in Roseburg for a hamburger and a small green salad for lunch. Sometimes the service is slow as she cooks one order at a time in the order received. Just get there early. We bought the pub in 3/15, so I hope you have given us a try. Thank you for the review. We try to get the food out in a timely manner, but with a small space we have limitations.I just found out that I could manage this page, so sorry for the later response even though the review is for the previous owner.

It looks like as old house converted into a bar/restaurant. We had a very friendly waitress but I didnât catch her name. My husband told her we liked the wheat or Hefe beer. She said they didnât have any but brought us samples of 8 different beers to try. He decided on Everything is Awesome micro-beer ($4.50). It was ok but a little bitter for me, We asked her for recommendations on what to eat and she said the burgers are great and so is the Lilly Philly. There was a burger called Frog Burger and we asked what that was. She said some guy used to come in all the time and he asked for a bacon burger and always wanted the bacon to be crisscrossed over the burger and hang outside the bun. She said it looked like frog legs hence the Frog Burger. Hubby decided on the Roy Bean Burger â single burger, Swiss cheese and mushrooms for $9.25. You can also get a double burger and 2 slices of cheese if you want a bigger burger. I took her suggestion and got the Lilly Philly - sliced roast beef, Swiss cheese, grilled onions on grilled Sourdough bread for $8.50. We were able to get a nice salad as our side. My sandwich was ok - the roast beef tasted like Steak-ums that you buy in the grocery store. Hubby said his burger was ok too. If we come back we may try the Frog Burger!

I'd been to Old Soul Pizza shortly after their opening a couple years back, but then didn't have another opportunity until recently. A good friend and I chose this place for a little lunch and long catch-up session with one another. We decided to sit outside under the sun shades in the small (5 tables?) side patio area. Service was prompt, and the owner checked in with us after our meal to make sure everything had been to our liking - a nice touch, I thought. We enjoyed their special of the day pizza, which had lovely crumbled sausage and fresh mozzarella on their thin oven-fired, every-so-slightly crisp pie. We paired that with a couple of hard ciders. The space was so conducive to chatting that we continued to sit and enjoy the late summer drizzle that descended, and found the sun tarps managed to do a pretty good job at rain abatement as well!

Food was great, service was excellent. Patio was awninged to provide shade. Inside seating was comfortable pub setting but had that noisy ambiance that made talking to a group of diners more difficult. Menu was more varied than last visit so all of us found something to like, including our vegan friend.
