The place was very busy when we got there. The music was blarring inside. It was so loud we could not have a conversation. We couldnt even hear the words as music was so distorted. We had 2 smash burgers one beef and one chicken. The shredded chicken burger they first made when the restaurant opened was way way better than the latest chicken fillet. It was sadly tasteless. As usual the chips and milkshakes were out of this world amazing. However we couldnt wait to get out of there. We where served by 3 different waiters during our visit. It was hard to know who to leave the tip too. Honestly i wont ever go back as that music ruined the whole outing. There were various age groups dinning there. There is nothing I like less than to see other people eating food that looks better than mine ESPECIALLY when I was told there were only 3 choices...flank steak, pork chops, and lamb. As I was eating my not-that-great flank steak I see one of the servers pulling something out of a pot and slicing it up. Whatâs this? I think to myself. As I watch her put down a plate of delicious looking ribs piled high on a plate at the table behind me, I looked down at my sad piece of meat and wondered why I hadnât been offered the same thing. Well, I can tell you why! Iâm a white tourist and the other customers were not. I will never recommended or go back to this restaurant. ALL tourists should know that you are getting the crappy meat while others are getting the good stuff. PREJUDICE plain and simple plus their beans were too spicy (and I like spicy food), the coleslaw was too goopy, and the corn meal not cooked enough so it was ineffective for picking up food. Terrible food, terrible service, and no atmosphere (outside is fairly interesting but not worth the drive to).

Green and Gold is not just an average sports bar. They have several big screen HD TV's for watching the game/s and their menu will cater for every taste bud. It's not just an average bar menu and adds elements of steakhouse/grill too. The service can take a bit longer when it's busy, which they often are. This place is popular and well supported.

The decor is minimal, but warm and cosy. Service was mostly attentive but this tapered off somewhat. The cocktail menu is quite original in approach. The presentation and resulting drinks are good too. Food was pretty decent. I would return again for drinks.

A group of us were attracted by the live jazz and we were not disappointed. It was exceptional, with the 3 young, talented musicians enthralling us for a few hours. We will definitely be back for more. The service needs some improvement, because we kept having to call the manager to order. Different waitrons served us as well, so we were not quite sure who our dedicated waitron was. The atmosphere is great and our party of 8 were just about the last to leave before they closed. The food was good and tasty. We will definitely be back for more!

The Hogshead is a very popular Pub and Restaurant I the Westrand. We stopped there on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy. The service is out of the top drawer and the food excellent. We both had Eisbeins and were the best I've ever had. The atmosphere and setting is also very good. Highly Recommended !Thanks Hendrix2015 for the great review. Passing through Krugersdorp and Lunchtime - The Westwood is a typical small shopping mall Bar and restaurant that is not pretending to be anything other than a neighborhood venue. I was greeted and shown a table table quickly. Menu arrive, ordered a beer which arrived just as quickly - ice cold. Medium Rare Sirloin, Egg and chips ordered and it was very good. Recommend for good value straightforward fare.
