We waited half an hour to have dinner and the host was pleasant. Our server brought out our gourmet hamburgers like you order in the pub and the bun was so hard it should have been thrown out, not served! I told the waitress and she said she'd let the kitchen know. Really?? That's who send it out in that shape, they touched it and made a decision to serve it. I at the meat because I was especially hungry. We wouldn't recommend it given that approach to food overall.

I've been twice breakfast and a quick dinner ,both superb. Music to delight on weekend evenings from 6-9p assuring a good meal a real treat to the ears as well. Sometimes middle of week ,heading back on July 25 to hear and eat. lol and I can be headed home by nine! love it.

This cozy inviting space is a welcome addition to Thomaston. Wonderful food, excellent cocktails and a friendly vibe makes for a great place to spend the evening. I especially recommend the pulled pork or pulled chicken tacos, the nachos with pulled pork, the grilled cheese and the hand crafted cocktails.

(Thomaston Cafe was closed for a while, and reopened under new management with a grand opening 10 Nov 2017 -- so don't pay any attention to reviews before that.) We went mid-morning on a beautiful Sunday, our first visit since the original Thomaston Cafe closed -- and there was almost no one there, maybe two other tables. My wife ordered crab cake benedict -- two thick crab cakes with perfectly poached eggs and hollendaise on a crispy grilled English muffin ($13) -- and declared it excellent. My prime rib quesadilla (also $13), on the other hand, was nothing to rave about. Both came with a side of uninspired red potato homefries. The regular coffee, drunk black, was good. The decaf, my wife felt, was watery (but, then, she always tarts it up with sugar and cream, so it needs to be robusto to withstand that.) Service was adequate, certainly the opposite of intrusive. Altogether pretty much an average experience.

I saw a good review on Trip Advisor or Yelp and so we tried this place on a Sat. evening. From the get go, the waiter (Chris) was hospitable and friendly. He gave us a nice corner table by the window where we could look out at the harbor on a foggy, rainy day. We went with the special of the day which was a almond encrusted fresh halibut, rice pilaf and butternut squash. It was delicious! Then we topped it off with two servings of fresh Maine blueberry pie (sans the ice cream or whip cream). It was so good! If I'm ever in this area gain, I'd definitely come back here. Loved the atmosphere, views, food & service. It was like the perfect ending to our two-day stay in Rockland. :)

Small corner pub next to the waterfront, it was a nice place to get away from the Lobster festival crowd. Good selection of local beers.The bartender Amber was very friendly, efficient and gave us great recommendations for dinner.

It's a dive bar. If that is your thing, you'll enjoy it. It's much smaller inside than their web site implies. There were 12 people in the place. The noise level drowned out the metal music on the distortion prone sound system. My beer was not extraordinarily cold. The bartender couldn't draw anything but foam from the tap. She switched to another and had better luck. The bartender was the most noteworthy part of the visit. She had to wait on everyone inside, an unknown number outside, cook any food order, take deliveries...she was the only employee in the place. She always had a big smile. She knew many of the customers. She's underpaid. The food is prepared in an area visible from the bar. It has a number of machines with buttons rather than a human dedicated cook. Expect the place to be too loud to carry on a conversation, cosy, small TVs that you can't hear and a wonderful bartender. Like I said, It's a dive. If you're in the mood I expect you'll enjoy yourself.

you just can't help but love their food but it's always helpful if there are great people that work there to make your visit that much better, we gather at Trackside quite often, there is always someone that that we know and can have a friendly conversation with.

We had lunch there recently and and still like going there! Food is good, workers are friendly and the help yourself to popcorn is a nice bonus! I will say it's odd how so many waitstaff in many places will call two people who are obviously male and female, "guys," " thanks, guys, is everything alright, guys, please come again, guys. A female is not a "guy." Daily specials are varied and yummy too!

We had lunch here after visiting the Farnsworth down the street. Our friend is a beer aficionado and was keen to sample a variety of local beers. So he and my spouse offered beer to go with their ordersâhaddock sandwich for him and lobster roll for the other. The women ordered fish tacos and another lobster roll, a special this time of year. The lobster was fresh, but the roll had not been grilled or buttered which meant it was on the dry side. The sandwich and the tacos were very good and it was a pleasant place with a window-side view of Main Street. Thank you so much for your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed your beers.
