Reviews on Pub food in Purmerend, North Holland Province, The Netherlands. Purmerend ( pronunciation (help·info)) is a municipality and a city in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. The city is surrounded by polders, such as the Purmer, Beemster and the Wormer. The city became the trade center of the region but the population grew relatively slowly. Only after 1960 did the population start to grow from around 10,000 to around 80,000 by the 2010s. From the 1960s onwards, Purmerend has seen major expansion and continues to do so. This expansion has turned Purmerend into a commuter town; many inhabitants of Purmerend (14,200 in 2011), work, go to school or spend their leisure time in Amsterdam. Purmerend is part of the Randstad, one of the largest conurbations in Europe.

- WINNER OF 'BEST LOCAL RESTAURANT 2019' - A brand new organic (veggie) restaurant, focused on sustainability and exclusivity. We work with organic and quality products that can be found in fine dining restaurants, but with a funky atmosphere and setting.
Funky little place... Small inside but great friendly service. I was alone and the staff made me feel very welcome indeed. Even chatted about what I had been up to during my visit to Zaandam.I ordered hot chocolate and a bacon cheeseburger with fries. It was fab. Really enjoyed this little place.. funky music.. a lot of cocktails on the menu along with beers and wines.I ate early (around 5pm) so did not soak up the evening atmosphere but I would imagine that ambience is very cool in the evenings.Great little place... recommend a visit for some decent food at a decent price!!Hi Suitcasesally22, Thank you very much for your review :DReviews like this, always makes us blush! We hope to see you again. Kind Regards, Dévon Valies (your waiter) Burger Cartel

On a beautiful location on the harbor of Volendam you can find our superb five star dining pub, with a great view over the IJssellake. We are open seven days a week from 10 am. Throughout the year, Whether winter or summer,'t Havengat welcome's you any da
Popped in here for a quick lunchtime snack and drink. We were attended to quickly although the toasties took a little while before coming to the table but it was worth the wait; they were delicious. The drinks, of which there was a fantastic variety, were delivered quickly. Very pleasant and friendly staff. The staggered seating meant that if you were lucky enough you could have a window seat at the front looking out to the sea.Thank you for the review.
The moment you step inside, the friendly staff makes you feel welcome! They have a wide variety of beers on tap and bottled. The food is delicious and when you choose the 3 course menu you really get a run for you money! No doubt, Café Aad de Wolf is the best stop on the Koemarkt !

We really enjoyed our Brasa's dinner; its the only restaurant we found cooking some local food and we really appreciated it. The cheese fondue was amazing but even meat and fish were well cooked. If we'll come in Purmerend again for sure we'll eat here again.
