Ponta Delgada (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈpõtɐ ˌðɛɫˈɣaðɐ]) is the largest municipality (concelho) and administrative capital of the Autonomous Region of the Azores in Portugal. It is located on São Miguel Island, the largest and most populous in the archipelago. The population in 2011 was 68,809, in an area of 232.99 square kilometres (89.96 square miles). There are 17,629 residents in the three central civil parishes that comprise the historical city: São Pedro, São Sebastião, and São José. Ponta Delgada became the region's administrative capital under the revised constitution of 1976; the judiciary and Catholic see remained in the historical capital of Angra do Heroísmo while the Legislative Assembly of the Azores was established in Horta.

Simplexio offers a cool and very different atmosphere to enjoy quality burgers. One of the best parts is that they have different beers brewed in Lissabon. Good selection of IPAâs and others. I really liked the decorations here and the staff was also very pro with the beers etc. Others have found this place too so prepare to wait a bit to get a table and also to get your food. Mariachi burger was great and really liked the taste of the beer called porn in the IPA as well.

We were advised this was the best burger around...and we were not disappointed! Simple but well executed menu. Excellent burgers. And great cocktails to go along with it. An easy alternative to booking a table at tasca across the street.

We spent the morning whale watching, then walked all around Ponta Delgada.Stopped by Cantinho Dos Anjos for lunch and a cold drink. While we enjoyed sitting in front, there were several vehicles that wound their way down the street. Full credit to the drivers, however I would have been fine with no traffic at all.The staff were nice, but unfortunately perhaps a bit overworked. Lunch was a slower process, but the food was very proud when it arrived. The inside was nice, but given the fantastic weather we chose to stay outside.All in all it was a good choice for lunch.Thank you so much for your nice words. Hope to see you soon!

Moby Dick was a short walk from our hotel. We ate there 2 nights in a row as the food was very good and an excellent value. Staff were friendly. They were very patient describing the menu to us and answering any questions. We left there absolutely stuffed. The place was packed both nights. We ate on the patio and watched the local activity. A very enjoyable evening. Must try the white bean pie.

The food is ok but not special. But what mostly disappointing is the fact that for me going to a tapas restaurant means small portions, so you can try a lot of them. The portions here a just full meals, so after ordering one you just have enough.Although the staff explained it to me this is their philosophy, itâs not tapas. So yes you can eat here but remember itâs not tapas.
