Things to do in Platteville
Stopped for lunch, and the place quickly filled up. The owners were doing it all. The wife was the bartender and waiting on the tables, while her husband did the cooking. Felt sorry for them, as they were quite busy, but did a good job keeping things moving along. Food was very, very good; mainly sandwiches with french fries, salads and appetizers. Has a full bar. We will be back!
Simplicity of some decent offerings for the reasonable foods that reign at this local bar. They've got some good burgers, pizzas, fries and the occasional chili as we were told. Our burgers fries pizza and beers suited us just fine! Some friendly service and neighborhood locals spoke highly of their regular visits. We agreed to a repeat visit when back to visit the University here!

Stopped here for lunch. Some in our party ordered burgers and others grilled chicken sandwich and cod sandwich. Everything is a la carte. So if you want some fries, that is billed separately. If you want anything extra on your sandwich, they charge for that too. (onion, tomato, lettuce, etc.). If the sandwich doesn't come with that, then you must pay. Sandwiches are small for the price one pays. Might look next time while in town for a different burger place. Service was very, very good though!!! And everyone was very friendly!!!

This long-time Platteville institution has only gotten better! The pizza is the same as always and good enough for many return trips. But now if there is a person using a wheelchair in your group the wheelchair entrance isn't in front of a table for patrons so accessibility is easy; and there are disabled-accessible restrooms! Great decor with old/unusual signs and posters. Lots of games for kids.
