Who is on the way to Saxon Switzerland, comes at the Brauhaus Pirna "Zum Giesser" barely passing. For years, the brewery has been firmly established in the region. Take a seat near the great brewing kettle and enjoy a homely atmosphere, the good food and
We have been staying in the Sachsische Schweiz but eat outside the hotel. We like to try different places. And it's not often that we return to a restaurant. But at Brauhaus "Zum Giesser" we had so great service the first time and such a lovely diner. That we had to return there the last night of our stay. Although the terrace was full of Germans watching the football game between Holland-Germany, the restaurant upstairs was serving a good dinner. I can't mention one thing that went wrong. Excellent but down to earth food. We loved it! Go there and enjoy yourself!

I came here with my German family from Pirna. We first sat outside which was wonderful except for the road noise. As our group grew, we eventually had to move inside. It was just as nice and even quieter. The food and service were excellent. The waiters were very kind and professional. I had the daily special- flounder with shrimp and speck (bacon). Now, you can add shrimp and bacon to anything and it will taste good, but this fish was great on its own and the accoutrements just made it even better. Cue the fried potatoes and the green beans and you end up with a symphony of flavor. My cousin and I tried several of the beers. The Keller beer on tap, then the Atlantic and the Arctic ales in bottles. I wish they were all on tap but alas, you canât have everything. They were all very good, the arctic being particularly to my liking, in spite of the â¬6.50 price tag. I also had the chocolate raspberry dessert with vanilla ice cream. Turns out it was a fabulous chocolate fondant. In summary, this meal was excellent in every way.

This is one of the oldest beer gardens of Germany, which has existed for centuries. The view of Pirna is beautiful. It's a real âBiergartenâ so you can just sit outside. It is self-service but the staff is friendly. The cappuccino was nice and soft drinks is served in bottles.
