Palaiochora (Greek: Παλαιόχωρα or Παλιόχωρα) is a small town in Chania regional unit, Greece. It is located 77 km south of Chania, on the southwest coast of Crete and occupies a small peninsula 400m wide and 700m long. The town is set along 11 km of coastline bordering the Libyan Sea. It is the seat of the municipality of Kantanos–Selino and its population was 1,675 in the 2011 census.

Went there for breakfast. Staff were pleasant. Asked for 2 coffees 1 orange juice and bread for two people. Everything was fine till we got the bill. 9 euros for basket of bread. A total rip off. There is much better value to be had in the village.

I have eaten here several times during my annual visits.I always take pork or chicken pita gyros. I also spend time on other islands or on north cost of Crete and compare gyros I eat in Hania...Maleme district or in Kastelli. Unfortunately, gyros here in Everest are filled with big and not-so-tasty french fries, more so than in any place I have tried. Of course this is a cheap trick to get cost down, but those chips did not originally even belong to gyros even though everyone now uses them, more or less.

Anemos is a resturant with kind of different tastes than the other tavernas. We love great rock music and we serve dishes with local products.we also offer a great wine menu with wines from allover crete! join us to enjoy!

It is not the typical cretan restaurant, although you can always order something to follow your drink, it's the place where you'll enjoy rock music with friends or start a conversation with the next table, while drinking your raki with humous or "apaki" or whatever is in the catalogue.

Located in a traffic free area in the evening. Slightly away from the very busy crossroads in Paleochora. Prices reasonable and cocktails good.
