Reviews on Pub food in Ostrava, Moravia, Czech Republic. Ostrava (Polish: Ostrawa, German: Ostrau or Mährisch Ostrau) is a city in the north-east of the Czech Republic and is the capital of the Moravian-Silesian Region. It is 15 km (9 mi) from the border with Poland, at the meeting point of four rivers: the Odra, Opava, Ostravice and Lučina. In terms of both population and area Ostrava is the third largest city in the Czech Republic, the second largest city in Moravia, and the largest city in Czech Silesia. It straddles the border of the two historic provinces of Moravia and Silesia. The population was around 300,000 in 2013. The wider conurbation – which also includes the towns of Bohumín, Doubrava, Havířov, Karviná, Orlová, Petřvald and Rychvald – is home to about 500,000 people, making it the largest urban area in the Czech Republic apart from the capital, Prague.

Awesome rums from all over the world , delicious steak, they used to have wonderful Sheppard pie, but I didn't taste it since they changed the chef. They serve at least 3types of tap beer + Guinness of course ;) Outside summer garden and inside it is non-smoking finally! Staff is swift and polite. I'm Going there quite regularly and can only recommend this place.
Visited this place many times with friends. Service always nice. They've got everytime different type of beer and what more, I love rum and there is 100 kinds for good price. Must visit

We organised a small family gathering in the Stracena. The ambiance was nice, the service very good and the food was excellent. We ordered steaks which were really excellent. Two of our party had âtatarak Stracenaâ, which was delicious. The simple goulash was also excellent although the portion was too big ;) We liked the service. The blond lady was great in persuading us to take a desert on top of our cake :) and the desert was really worth it! We liked the pub and will come back again.

It is a nice underground pub near Mercure hotel. If you plan a visit here, always make a reservation as it is full most of the time and confirm on the number of guests. Our reservation did not go well, and the table they gave us was downsized from 15 people to 10 people and we have to squeeze among ourselves.

Neat, stylish restaurant in a spirit of 30ties of last century. Together wit world cuisine, great service and good wines you will experience exceptional moments... Buena Vista Restaurant team.
We consider this restaurant to be one of the best in Ostrava. All the served meals looked great and were delicious. Also we have to mention that the service is excellent too. The restaurant has variety offer of rums, cognacs and wines. It's 4star hotel restaurant so you should expect higher prices for Ostrava.

We were there at happy hours, special burger 1 + 1 - absolutely delicious burger served with fries and salad. The service was very nice and helpful, you can pay by credit card. On the menu you will find many types of burgers various sizes, from 150g to 350g mega burgers, steaks and tortillas too. Unfortunately - smoking is allowed :-(

Great Pilsner from tank, traditional czech food made to perfection. Can get busy though (but we were visiting during the festival and they had a special menu for this occasion with delicious meals). Pork cheeks were exquisite :)
