The Antrobus Arms taken over by Uphouse Pubs in January 2018, is a family run independent free house pub. We offer a range of local brewery cask ales, a wide selection of gins, fine wines and cocktails. Our food is a mix of traditional and contemporary ho
Just returned from lunch at the Antrobus Arms with my wife. This was our first visit and was unplanned having just visited the local golf course. It would be easy to drive past this pub/restaurant as the car park is situated at the rear with access via the side road. There were plenty of cars in the car park (which is a good sign) and the restaurant was quite busy. At the bar we received a very warm welcome and asked if we were dining with them - we were then shown to a table. The lunch menu only had about 5 main courses (once again I see this as a good sign) as it was after 2.00pm we were not surprised when told that the daily roast had all gone. We both settled on the battered cod, chips and mushy peas which which both agreed was amongst the best we had ever tasted. It is a nice restaurant with well laid tables and white linen napkins (a nice touch). A sign outside said it is a family owned pub/restaurant (free house) and it shows. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and intend to return.

Regularly come to the riverside with immediate and extended family. They always accommodate us even when a large table! Service is spot on, from welcome to table service the whole way through canât fault them. Food is good pub grub, and itâs in a lovely location next to the river. I always recommend this place to friends and family!Hi Jane thankyou so much for these kind comments, we do try our best to make every experience here as good as yours and we are happy to know we have succeeded. We will look forward to seeing you soonRegards Chris

This outstanding village pub can be found adjacent to the main A559 in the scenic area of Great Budworth. The Cock O' Budworth is a former 17th century coaching inn, which now oozes class and style. It is beautifully decorated throughout, and is everythin
Gloomy dingy pub, dirty carpet & windows, dusty food no flavour, standard frozen fare, staff very nice and attentive. Will not be going again overpriced for what you get.Such a shame considering the location it isn't maximised to it's full potential.Good Morning ZoeThank you for taking the time to review your visit with us, whilst I appreciate your comments, I feel I must disagree with your view of us being a gloomy dingy pub. We are a Grade 2 listed building and as such any bright colours or strong lighting would detract from the character and atmosphere of the restaurant rather than enhance it. I do however take on board the comments about our menu, which is currently put together by our Menu Development Team at Head Office, and I will pass on your opinions for their future reference. The staff however will be pleased to learn that you were happy with the service you received on your visit and we would be more than happy to welcome you back should you decide to visit us againThanks again for your commentsKind RegardsJulie

The Plough Inn has been under the Hughes family ownership since 1995. Offering a traditional English pub in the beautiful Cheshire countryside. Several walks are available from our website or from inside the pub.Weâre proud to serve quality fresh food sou
I enjoyed my Sunday lunch, however, the beef was a bit tough and the carrot/swede wasnât very hot. Other than that it was a good sized portion and value for money. Pleasant staff and nice surroundings although the tables are quite close together and the lady on the next table was talking far too loudly at her companion which meant that we couldnât hear ourselves think. Never mind - better luck next time - will certainly return to try the legendary pie...

Thank you Fishpool Inn for a fantastic tea in beautiful surroundings with friendly staff... We definitely return again...

Me and my friend had yet another brilliant meal here with great service from all the girls as usual. Iâve reviewed The George & Dragon before on here but I felt I had to write another praising the staff - all of the girls are always so nice and nothing is ever too much trouble. One of the managers , Carl is lovely and is like talking to an old friend and he always makes our visits worthwhile. I have to say a special mention to one of the other managers , Jackie. On todayâs visit we found out she was leaving the pub. I cannot believe she is leaving , what a shame. Weâve only been going to The George and Dragon for just over a year but I canât imagine the place without Jackie. Sheâs absolutely amazing and has made our visits fantastic with her warm and welcoming charm. She shall be sorely missed by me and my friend, Jackie has always looked after us and has reserved meals for Sundayâs and gone out of her way to make sure things were okay when weâve visited. Jackie leaving The George and Dragon is as sad as when Bet Gilroy left The Rovers in Coronation Street. Whoever replaces her has big shoes to fill. Many thanks Josh for taking the time to write your kind review. We are very lucky at the George and Dragon to have regular return customers of your calibre. People who know what they want and where to find it. Long may we continue to be of service. Thank-you also for your kind words about the staff and in particularly Jackie who has left us for pastures new, we all wish her the best of luck.

The Leigh Arms is on the main A49 road at Little Leigh, near Northwich in Cheshire. We are situated in between the River Weaver & The Trent & Mersey Canal. You can easily reach us by car, bus , boat & train. Meals are served in the bar and the restaurant
We've been regular visitors here over the years and it never fails to please. Friendly service, excellent freshly cooked food and plenty of it. It does get busy so be prepared to wait but its worth it. There's a low turnover in staff as Jo obviously looks after them.

Community based pub located on the canalside offering a wide selection of beer/ cask ales. Food offered seven days a week
Ordered fish n chips which was a small piece of fish in undercooked batter with large pieces of fried potato. The service is lacking in that although thereâs a restaurant area you have to go and order and pay at the bar beforehand. The pool table is £1 a gameThereâs nothing here to make me want to return Iâm afraidHi Thank you for your review, all reviews are important to our family run business. Sorry that we haven't impressed you on your visit. We are a pub that serves, good homemade food. we feel that ordering and paying at the bar is a more relaxed approach. The price of the pool is out of our control but feel it sits in line with other venues around that have a pool table. With regards to your fish, we always do check backs this is your opportunity to let us know that you arent happy with your meal, unfortunately nothing was brought to our attention until now. Best wishes The Broken Cross Team

We believe bringing good things together makes them even better, from fish and chips or brownies and ice cream to a cheeky gin and tonic. Along with freshly prepared dishes and delicious drinks, we offer a friendly service and great value. Cookhouse + Pub
Itâs a 4/5 & if Iâm honest thatâs quite generous. Food was good, waitressâs were nice & friendly. Time to get served was not good. We even waited 20 minutes for the bill. I know theyâve got offers on but they need to staff the kitchen up so they can match the service to the rest of it.

Myself and my partner both had family down for the weekend and were recommended here for Sunday dinner and we werenât disappointed, they were more than accommodating for our group of 10 one of whom is disabled which they more than catered for his requirements, the Decor is modern with a warm feel can imagine it would be lovely over the festive period,we all had roast dinners which were plentiful and totally enjoyable my daughter is a fussy eater yet ate all hers to,we also had mojitos which were delicious, all this plus being reasonably priced and staff being very prompt and pleasant certainly guarantees we will be returning and would recommend to anyone.
