We ate here twice during our stay in the area. Once was a full three course lunch, and the second a lighter lunch. On both occasions the food, friendly staff and device were all excellent. Nice to have drink orders taken at the table so no queuing at the bar and struggling with a fistful of glasses. The menu and specials board are definitely more interesting than standard pub grub, but old favourites are also there if you want them.We had a few disappointments during our holiday with "restaurant" pub's not being open at lunchtime, but the Clachan Inn is reliable for a great lunchtime stop.Yes, unlike many local establishments the Clachan is open everyday from 12-11 serving food 12-2 at lunchtime and from usually 6-8.30 ( check website) in the evening. We offer table service in our restaurant and people with dogs are welcomed to eat in the bar. Thank you for taking the time to post a review.

I have often over looked this establishment as I have driven past. Peasantly surprised by my first visit with my husband. A warm welcome. Great selection of home cooked food. Lovely service. The apple sponge pudding was amazing - in fact I would love the recipe for this!I would not hesitate to recommend and will be returning.
As the title says great food and excellent service staff very helpful just ask for what you need and they are straight there to get it sauces etc which they have a good selection
