We visited Downtown Social for some bowling and snacks. They have a wonderful beer selection and some nice starters. We had the fried cheese curds which came with shredded Parmesan and a nice dipping sauce. They were delicious. All the food I saw being served looked great. The bowling was just ok. The lanes were not marked like others I have seen and the pins were in strings for easy reset. Several times the strings fouled, knocking Dow pins that should not have fallen.Lots of TVâs inside allowing you to watch the games while eating and bowling.Theyâre also have a nice beer selection! It is a fun, eclectic spot!

Went to happy hour with a large group and really enjoyed it. The drink prices were great and the service was super. They also have a nice appy menu. Tried a couple different items that were really good. This was a nice and friendly place for happy hour and the regular menu looked great. We will return for sure.

Located in charming downtown New Braunfels, the pub is roomy, makes generously poured drinks, has darts, pool, sports on TV and a small patio area in the rear of the building. You have to park on the downtown street or walk a few blocks from a parking area to get there. They have food available, but we just go for beverages and darts when doing a downtown pub crawl. Primarily a bar.

We were staying at the Homestead in and walked here from our room. It seems to be a locals bar as opposed to the massive amounts of tourists at Gruene Hall, but everyone seemed really chill. When you walk in there are games going on right inside the front door so people were congregating right there - you kind of make your way around them to get to another large room and the bar. Great music plays throughout the night and while I wouldnt say we were there on a night of spectacular Texas music (I heard La Bamba along with some 80s tunes sprinkled in there - just an odd mix of songs, but it was high energy and played well - and the crowd loved it!) Most important thing - the bartenders were friendly, the beer flowed quickly and the atmosphere was relaxed and casual, just like I liked it. Nice place.

At The Oyster Bar, we have revitalized ourselves into a full-service, sit-down bar and grill that offers exceptional service, a casual and relaxed environment, scratch-made fare, and hand-crafted drinks. Additionally, our bar and grill offers a night time
We had dinner here based on reviews in trip advisor. Service was attentive and efficient. Drinks and food were fantastic (oysters, sliders, fish tacos). Prices very reasonable Our only hesitation is that the physical plant is run down and dingy. Bugs are present on the inside of the windows and seating surfaces are stained and scarred.A facelift would do wonders here.

Yes, the chili is good. It's pretty mild, but jalapenos or hot sauce can be added. The food here is made in house, from scratch and it makes a difference. The potato wedges are baked then pan fried - so good with the chili. Everything we've had here has been good. Nice atmosphere too.

This is about the Tap room located a few blocks from the Faust hotel at 499 South Castell Avenue. It's a big venue with lots of outdoor and brewery seating. The indoor tap room is small but on a Thursday afternoon it was not crowded. Good selection of brews on tap; I had the Mocha Stout and my date chose the Alex Meixner Polka Pils. Very good flavor and we stuck with these during our visit. This will be a great place to revisit when the weather warms up. I'll be there.

Late lunch on a Saturday. Ordered two cheeseburgers with coleslaw, tea and a diet coke. We ran out of drinks. We were dry for a l o n g time before receiving refills. It took an hour to receive food. I know the time due to texts I received. The burgers were good. Only one leaf of lettuce and one slice of tomato. Skimpy in my opinion. Cole slaw was good. Service was poor. We were given drinks to go.

A broke place charging $3.75 for a fancy can of diet coke. $8 for a small draft. Almost $12 for nothing and thats after a 10 minute wait to be served by inept bartenders. I mean it. This place blows. It was painfully terrible. We left and went to another bar. Avoid Thanks for letting us know about your recent experience. We strive to offer delicious food alongside friendly, attentive service and we fell short. We do offer Coke Zero as a fountain drink option if you prefer. We sincerely apologize the staff didn't offer it as a replacement upon ordering. We are passing your feedback along to management so that they can be made aware. Thanks for taking the time to leave a candid review.
