Called in whilst on holiday for Sunday lunch with my wife, we ordered 2 Roast beef lunches, waited a long time before it arrived to discover it was lukewarm the only thing that was hot was the side of Veg. My wife sent hers back for reheating whilst I continued eating mine. I had mine ate and there was still no sign of my wifes plate returning so we got up and left , her with no lunch. Very poor experience.

We recently visited with friends and it was simply superb. All of our meal choices were great - crab linguine absolutely scrummy, complimented by a great selection of local beers. We were made to feel welcome instantly ! Highly recommend.

Tucked away a little from the seafront, this is well worth finding for food. We were not expecting much as itâs a small pub with a limited menu but the seafood linguine was excellent with a hint of chilli. All of our meals were excellent and the staff were friendly and efficient. Itâs well worth finding and itâs advisable to book if you can

A rather quirky nautically themed free house, filled with maritime memorabilia and valuable artefacts from the bottom of the sea. Providing a selection of Cornish real ales and ciders and a variety of quality Czech and Bavarian Lagers. We also have a long
The famous nautical glitz in the pub and restaurant had me worried for a while - surely they cannot also serve superb fish and seafood meals. But they sure did! After the regulation photographs we settled into a roasted pepper soup and whitebait starter. Both were sublime! For mains, my partner had a huge helping of crab salad while I chose the sole. Delicious! The sevice was attentive, and the prices fair (all things considered).Hello Graham J,Thanks so much for taking the time to write us such a fab review! It means alot when we get a five star one. I ma delighted we were able to help you enjoy your evening (the Megrim sole is my favourite dish on the menu too btw !). We hoep to see you again soon,

Family run pub/restaurant with ample parking and a large beer garden with children's climbing frame. We sell Cornish Ales and Cornish lager, along side the usual pub classics. We are open seven days a week from midday and our restaurant is open seven days
We chose this place to eat because of the certificate of excellence status. However, it wasnât as good as I was expecting. The food is good no frills pub grub and the place is family friendly. The service was welcoming and efficient. So all in all a great place if youâre on holiday with the family and on a budget but it wasnât a place that was notable or a âmust visitâ.

The Kings Arms at Paul is one of West Cornwallâs most atmospheric pubs. With our no-fruit-machine, no satellite TV policy we have encouraged a return to old family values and quickly earned a reputation for good food and good beer in the most hospitable s
We walked here to take advantage of the meerkat meals deal.. booking essential! Great staff the young barman was genuinely friendly and helpful and the cook/chef equally nice. We had in our group the pie of the day and the scampi meal. Both were delicious and well built meals then we had the hot choc fudge cake and it was another triumph. Beers were good plenty of local choices. And fairly priced. Even tables for you to eat with your dog on a lead. Truly delighted with our lunch and will be going back soon.Photos of the food are but blurry but they tasted soooo good.Very pleased to hear that every aspect of your recent visit to the Kings Arms Paul was enjoyed. From the home cooked food to the local beers of which as you say there are a good selection. Itâs lovely when people appreciate our dog friendly area. Makes for a very relaxing time and meals can be eaten leisurely. I will pass on your compliments to the staff and chef and look forward to seeing you in the near future.

Very much a pub that does food from it's interior décor, comfortable and quiet.Food aims high and mainly succeeds in being big flavoured, generous fine dining. Service is friendly and good.Brill with squid ink tagliatelle with crab was a hit, but Monkfish with a kipper velouté was maybe a little too smoked kipper for some tastes.

Ate in Red Lion 3 times whilst on our week to Newlyn on final night husband ordered the fish pie - he found a piece of what looked and felt like pottery in it - when he told the chef she said it was crab shell. My husband said it felt like it had nearly broken his tooth she said âYou poor f***er I wonât charge for itâ - appalling - horrible end to a lovely week

This is a pub on the quay at Mousehole.
Don't get me wrong, this is a great pub. The menu was very properly limited, suggesting at least, home cooked food, and the food was really ample and totally delicious. Lots of well cooked veg with the chicken I ordered. The pub, on an October Sunday, was crammed. Entering earlier to check availability, the barman seemed a tad annoyed at the distraction, and certainly when I ordered my food and drink, he was at best sullen. However, when he was later clearing tables, he was very engaging. So, bit of a mix.If you come to this pub, you HAVE to be comfortable with dogs. Most locals surround the bar accompanied by several dogs of assorted sizes and various shapes. But if that's OK, and it was for me, then this is a place for excellent food.Thank you for your visit and your review, we are delighted that you have enjoyed your time with us and we hope that you will return for another visit soon!
