Find out what Pub restaurants to try in Minneapolis. With its gleaming skyscrapers set amid glittering lakes, Minneapolis makes for an attractive and fun getaway. A truly year-round destination, the city offers activities for every season. In winter, one can explore the downtown area through more than seven miles of glass-enclosed skyways. In addition to keeping you warm, they create a lively thoroughfare filled with specialty shops, restaurants and services. Whether you want to escape the winter cold or the summer warmth, the Mall of America offers shopping, dining and entertainment options for any time of the year and every member of the family. Art lovers have plenty to see at the Minneapolis Art Institute, Walker Art Center and the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum, which all house world-renowned collections. The theater scene is thriving. With more than thirty theaters, Minneapolis has more seats per capita than any U.S. city except New York. See a Broadway show and enjoy dinner and live jazz at a fabulous restaurant. With kids in tow, check out the Science Museum of Minnesota, where visitors can produce their own video, or come face to face with a shark at the UnderWater Adventures Aquarium. In summer, the action moves outside. Known as "The City of Lakes," Minneapolis has 22 lakes located within city limits and many more in the surrounding area. In town, hordes of locals and tourists in-line skate or stroll around Lake Calhoun, stopping for ice cream along the way. Just outside of town, Fort Snelling State Park offers outdoor recreational activities from hiking to biking and golf to boating. No matter when you visit, Minneapolis offers lots for everyone to enjoy.

I've visited the Low Brow a few times over the last several years and have always walked away happy. From brunch to lunch to dinner, the menu is solid with several tempting options; I've really liked everything I've had here. The service is very helpful and accommodating and the atmosphere is always relaxed and low key. I highly recommend the Low Brow for a late lunch on the weekend. You won't regret it.

I had the salmon and a salad. The salad was much larger than expected and was almost a meal in itself. The salmon was cooked to perfection. There are many craft beers on the menu too.

I requested non-dairy and gluten-free preparation of my salad. My meal arrived typically prepared with cheese and ranch dressing. Then I had to wait a long while for a replacement and it was of a smaller quantity than the original salad. Very noisy

We went here for the first time following a baseball game. We were seated right away and the service was good. We ordered potato leek soup and an appetizer. The soup not only didn’t have any potatoes but never saw a leek either! Basically what we got was a white sauce with no flavor. Most disappointing, especially since it was the soup of the day. We also ordered their bacon tots which were really tasty and hot. When we got the bill there is an extra 3% added on to “cover their employee benefits”, or close to that wording. Across the street at a different restaurant you don’t see that extra 3%. Ok place, probably will not go back.

Yes, Matt's totally has that dive bar vibe. The place is old and it almost feels like you are stepping back a couple decades when dining inside. Order a jucy lucy and fries, but know that the order of fries is enough for a small family and they are wonderful. The do have some beer selections and the sodas are served in the can, no cups here. Actually no plates either, just a red basket of awesomeness. Expect to wait, it is almost always busy here and the space is certainly not large. Over the last few years, the servers seems to have gone downhill, but you aren't here for the servers. If you visit Minneapolis, make a point to stop by Matt's for a unique experience.

Large brewery with excellent food. Typically breweries are not known for the menu, but Surly sets a new standard that is hard to beat. Food is perfectly cooked, ample portioned, and extremely tasty. Recommend the brisket with Brussels sprouts and black eyed peas. Large number of brews on tap. Family friendly and cafeteria style seating. Outside seating with large screen TV.

I would definitely recommend calling ahead, no matter what day because seating is limited. It saved us an hour wait. Parking is so so, we parked around the corner on a side street, up a hill. When we arrived we were greeted and brought to our table right away. Our waiter was very personable and very attentive. The one downfall is it is very loud and hard to hear the people you are with. The onion and bacon dip was amazing. Steak sandwich melts in your mouth. The braised beef was a tad dry but still good. Overall, it was worth the stop.
