Great location, great food, great service, great atmosphere! We were there on a Monday and received 20 percent off entrees. The second floor has large salt water fish tanks so you get dinner and a show.

My wife ordered a burger and I got the steak tips sandwich. I opted for the Manhattan clam chowder as my side. Steak tips were actually pretty tasty but the soup was obviously an afterthought since it was stone cold. The waiter was apologetic but it was pretty much the end of the meal before they brought a new cup (it was very good and I would recommend it.Better than the average tourist restaurant but probably middle of the pack as far as service and quality.

Arrived at 2.30 for a late lunch. Plenty of choice as regards seating in this huge place. We decided upon the area overlooking the grass tennis court. They took quite a while to provide us with a menu, but when it did come, our server Max K was very helpful in explaining the unfamiliar items on the menu.I ordered the crab cakes and my wife the clam chowder.Sadly, things went down hill from here. The 6 deep fried crab cakes came, there was hardly any crab taste at all and the âdecorativeâ salad leaves around it were an insult. They looked as if they were left over from 5 days ago. When Max asked how the meal was, I told him it was by far the worst Iâve had in my 2 weeks of touring New England. I pointed out the wilted salad and told him to inform the chef. He clearly didnât or the chef didnât want to speak to me.Certainly put me off even considering a desert, in spite of the tempting menu left on the table. The food low point of my holiday!

Feels like a New York tavern and not particularly southern but the fried pickles alone were worth the trip. Kale salad was tender and tasty. Kids liked their burgers. The servers were efficient and pleasant. Nice outdoor space and on a hot day, inside dining was cool but not chilly. I would go there again.

Got the creamy chowder, and the lobster which was fresh, AND the dollar oysters which were good 'n salty. Petite Sweets? was the name and they were small but frisky. My only complaint is THAT -NO MIGNONETTE! WHAT ~ kinda oyster house doesn't have a proper mignonette,,,made from champagne vinegar and shallots and white pepper and a dash of tasco?? Easy to make and when I asked it was WHAT???and THE SERVICE WAS ' I DON'T CARE' ATTITUDE?

Popped in for dinner whilst in Newport.Really pleased with our decision. Both had beef stew and homemade bread which was delicious. Then a Bailey's creme brulee and a bread pudding - both fabulous.Beware... portions are not for the fainthearted.Would definitely recommend if you fancy comforting home cooked good.

No wonder this place is crowded and usually has a wait in the evening! The food is delicious (the short ribs over garlic mashed potatoes was great), the salad bar plentiful, and soup was great. This is a good place if eating solo (get there a little early / during off-peak times) and if dining in a larger group.

A fun, laid back bar with great craft beer and amazing food!
Not a dive bar like people say, however it is still a great place to eat and drink. The place is always packed and the service is usually good. They had a live band when I was there. Itâs worth a visit if your in town. Overall Iâd come back next time Iâm in town. Stay thirsty my friends

We are in Middletown at least twice a year to help work on a colleagueâs boat. We have never missed having dinner at least once while weâre there. I love their deep fried scallops, my husband loves their salads, but everyone will fine something on the menu that pleases. And, donât forget their fantastic beer! I usually go for their IPA, others at the table try the seasonal brews. While waiting for plates to arrive, thereâs always a little time for a game of pool. Love this place!
