Things to do in Metuchen
The place is very good however the taste of the food items is average and you can not really get what you want if you are spicy food lover.

Our group met here for lunch as they liked the wings. I don't eat them but I had the extra cheese margerita pizza. It was thin crusted and nicely prepared. The only problem was the level of noise. It was so noisy I could hardly hear the person sitting next to me. Service was very good though.

I came here with friends who had been here a few times before. The host and wait staff remembered them and were very friendly. Service was attentive and prompt. Food was really good. I had penne vodka with grilled chicken which was perfectly prepared. Wine glasses were nicely generous. We sat in the patio and I felt like I was in someone's back yard - in a good way! We were at the edge of the grass and kids were playing, it was a lovely spring evening and we had a great time. I would definitely return.

This was the first time at the Brown Stone and possibly our only time here.Apparently their style is inexpensive beer but pricie food.We stopped in for lunch, we both had Iced Tea, my Wife ordered a Bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup and a Coconut Shrimp Appetizer, I ordered a Steak Sanwich and a side Caesar Salad in place of Fries. The food was pretty good the service ok, the bill $38.50. I don't think this will be a regular stop for us.

Bishopâs Bistro is a family owned restaurant in Metuchen, NJ. The Bishops learned to cook in their Grandmotherâs kitchen in North Carolina. It truly is a unique venue where elegance, and artisan Southern cuisine comes to together to create the picture-per
The restaurant is located on New Street, just off of Main and serves what I would describe as upscale Southern cuisine. There are a few steps to climb so best to inquire about accessibility if that's an issue. The restaurant is deceptively large and decorated in warm understated tones. The staff were friendly but rushed. We visited with a group of 7 on a Sunday when they were serving a brunch buffet but we opted to order off the a la carte menu. The steak and cod sliders were excellent appetizers. We ordered the bistro burger, Turkey burgers, salmon, ribs, and fried chicken for entrees. Portion sizes were good and the food was generally good as well. We did have service issues where our entrees took a while to come out and then came out a few at a time, where the last plate came out almost 15 min after the first. The staff took a little while to realized that only half our table had been served. We were later told that their computer had crashed and party of our order had been lost. Things like this happen but they were slow to recover. They did graciously adjust our bill due to the inconvenience and were apologetic. This restaurant is worth a visit and hopefully they'll not experience ongoing service issues. Parking is available in municipal lots or metered street parking.

Forget 'casual dining.' That's an industry term so out of touch with how consumers eat and drink today. For premium quality and style; fare that's at times familiar and other times adventurous and a laid-back modern setting, Houlihan's is a true original.
We havenât been to a Houlihanâs in ages. There were 12 of us. The food selections were great and the food was delicious. But the service was slow. We were there for two hours They seemed to be short staffed. We will go again and hopefully they willHave better service. Appreciate your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed our made-from-scratch menu options and invite you to email us directly at [email protected] if you would like to discuss your visit further. Thanks for your time. - Ag

Filled with flags, posters, memorabilia, dark wood tables and a large bar area this pub is a local hangout. We ate lunch which was good, typical pub food. The potato soup was really good as was the burger. The corned beef was ok the cabbage potatoes and carrots were good. This would be a great place to meet friends, watch a game and kick back. The service was great.Wooo, 4 stars, thanks for supporting local. Thanks for the kind words about the ambiance. We do have awesome pub food with amazing service, chris
