I arranged to have a celebration at Catrin restaurant for my daughter who obtained her PhD. Friends from six states in the US joined us for a celebratory weekend. The culmination was a night of partying and fun at Catrin restaurant. Catrin was also celebrating its one year anniversary the night of our affair. From making the reservation to the close of the party the restaurant took care of everything so professionally. The botanas I ordered were delicious. The red and white wine was superb. The salsa, soul, rock and reggaeton music invited everyone to dance. The colorful projection of Catrin dancing on the wall was very entertaining. We were extremely satisfied with the wait service. They kept the wine flowing and the food coming. I will always have my affairs at Catrin restaurant.

Almost every time Iâm in Mérida I end up here, they have so many dishes that I love that itâs hard not to come here for dinner. The personal attention from the staff and owners is an absolute plus. I took a few photos this time, but found others from other dishes Iâve tried in the past.

For those who crave European beer tastes, especially Belgian ones, this is the place. Abundant choice, or may I already say collection. The choice of fruit beers, e.g. kriek lambiek etc., even surpasses the average bar in Belgium itself. Foodwise, I just wanted to find out how they do Belgian fries, and I was not disappointed. Almost like in Belgium, be it a bit in the dry side. Only min point: all the Belgian sauces have not made it to this place yet. They do offer a delicious home made sauce tartar though (don't hesitate to ask for more if the small portion they give is not enough). The service was excellent by the way.

I was lucky enough to be walking by the Parque late one afternoon. Hunger pangs hit - so I decided to look for something not directly in the Parque. So I found LaLinda a few blocks down. Unfortunatly for me the menu posted outside was in Spanish - of which I do not speak or read . But, I decided to take a chance and so glad I did. A gentlemen who appeared to be the manager spoke some English and walked me thru choices. I choose the Pork Belly . I'm also not a beer drinker, but they appeared to have local craft beers available. The Tacos arrived - looking delicious! 3 different salsas were provided and they explained each there was a sweeter, a mild heat and a heavier heat. 3 Tacos / 3 Salsas tried one on each. All were delicious! Now for the kicker the Tacos, a coke and tip less than $150 peso. Heck in the states a small portion of crispy pork belly as an appetizer would run me anywhere from $15 to $25 and would not have been as good.Hello Jeanne! Thank you very much for your review. We're very glad you visited us and hope to see you back again in your next visit to our beautiful city. Regards, Rodrigo.
