Reviews on Pub food in Lund, Skane County, Sweden. Among the oldest cities in Sweden, Lund was founded in the late 10th century. The stalwart Lund Cathedral is almost as old as the settlement itself; it was built in traditional Romanesque style and contains a beautiful astronomical clock, five organs and an ancient crypt. Explore charming Jakriborg, a modern residential area that emulates a medieval town, then head to the beautiful Botanical Gardens.

Last time I reviewed Viggo I gave it a mediocre review because it was a mediocre dining experience. Today I had lunch there again with some colleagues and the overall experience was even worse. We had originally planned to eat at the recently opened Tugg hamburger restaurant, but due to a long estimated wait time, conceded to give Viggo another chance. At around 1pm the restaurant was practically empty, which was uncommon in the past and not a good sign. However, we were four people in total, and had to be back by 2pm so this suited us.The burgers arrived in a reasonable time, but the portion of fries now is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller, I would estimate half what one used to get. The fries were one of the better parts of the meal, so this is disappointing. The burgers are still using the home-made patties, but all of our meat was dry and overcooked. The restaurant still uses cheap, nasty white hamburger buns which is like eating dry bread. I ordered the bacon burger which was one long strip of bacon placed ontop the dry patty with a bit of salad. Very little sauce, a totally crappy burger. When we were leaving one of the staff gave us a half-hearted goodbye, someone who knew that their business and customer base was disappearing fast.I can blame myself for trying Viggo again; I should have known better. But hopefully this review helps to warn others not to make the same mistake. Try the other burger place close by!

Some say it is the only truly student bar in Lund (except of the nations which are not accessible for non-students). So go there, have a beer and enjoy the ngiht.

After our visit we were invited to this very British place for dinner. I would prefer in the future only to have a drink. Food was acceptable ( no more, no less ), service was very very casual, decoration chaotic mixture. I visited UK and surroundings several times and had much much better. Lessons learned: next time in Lund I will try a Swedish place, that's for sure.

Had to talk to a bartender while he was on the phone. I understand they run a hotel but having the check in at the bar is pretty insane. So I move to the other end of the bar where there was two bartenders. One looks me in the eye a couple times while finishing up with the guy next to me while the other is waiting on a slow pour just standing there (could prolly get through two more oders before thats done bro) The bartender who eyed me down walk to the side of the bar to do something then turns around to be greeted by a dude who just shows and she says what would u like? I all "hello? Is there no line what-so-ever? Did u already forget about me? Am I dead and living in the 1999 film Sixth Sense starring Bruce Willis? I was gonna order food and beers but since I get the shaft then I'm out. I fully understand the service in sweden as a whole is like a 1.7 on the 10 scale compared to the states, I've been dealing with it for 15 years but Dog blow this place off unless u walk by at 11am and see there is no one there. They might getcha in 10 minutes or so. Good luck.

What a great pub! It's actually as near to an English boozer you could get but it's Swedish! Great bar staff, made to feel welcome! Sat outside in the rear drinking. Very good.

Cozy place near the train station. Okey menu with good food. The same with the drinks. Very popular during the after work hours. Especially in may before the summer.

I had no clue that this little pearl is hidden just outside Lund. It is just in the middle of...nowhere where one would think there should be a nice restaurant! The atmosphere is very cosy, the service impeccable and the food definitely interesting. Maybe a little bit too pricey for a lunch though, considering also that one has to drive a bit for reaching the place.I took the vegetarian option and the tastes that were fitting together in harmony, both color wise but especially taste wise.I was though a little bit hungry still despite the meal, but it could have simply been that the food was good and I could have eaten more.I would have though expect more choices from the lunch menu. Hope I can return to it again soon, I'd like to explore what can be offered a bit more!

Gambrinus is our Lund's popular bistro that is abuzz with people and conversation all hours of the day. A bar, a lounge and a restaurant under one roof is the best descriptor for Gambrinus. Because of its casual and informal atmosphere, you can come here
I was visiting my daughter, who lives in Lund and she wanted to go to Bistro Gambrinus for a dinner. The food and wine was superb and the staff friendly. My daughter ordered their famous huge shrimp sandwich, but I prefer meat, so I took a delicious entrecote. Gambrinus/Grand Hotel It is a little old fashion in a nice way. You sit in a glazed-in restaurant, so you can see out at the people and they can see you.
