Reviews on Pub food in Long Beach, California, United States. For some, a tour of the Queen Mary, docked here since its retirement in 1967, evokes waves of nostalgia for the days of the huge ocean liner with its opulent rooms, 1930s deco décor and teakwood decks. Others, particularly the younger set, are entranced by the spine-tingling haunted ship stories on the nighttime ghost tour. But for everyone, a visit to this floating hotel and museum is a must on any trip to Long Beach. At one time a less-than-appealing place to visit, Long Beach has transformed itself into an upscale tourist resort, with many waterfront attractions, including a new, state-of-the-art aquarium with a fabulous shark exhibit, two excellent art museums, charming shops, public golf courses, the annual April Grand Prix international auto race and lots of recreational activities along its eight-mile stretch of beach. Take the kids to the waterfront entertainment complex with rides and live performances or to the farming demonstrations at Rancho Los Alamitos. Feeling romantic? Cruise the canals of Naples (that's right, Naples Island in Long Beach) in a genuine Venetian gondola. One thing is for sure: tensions and stresses dissolve in this laid-back, friendly city.

Very industrial chic atmoshere backed up by the Long Beach Harbor view. Beers are awesome while taking in Socal atmoshere. Add some of their bites and sit back and enjoy. Watermelon Dorado beer is the best but watch out it does bite at 10% alcohol

We decided to have dinner here after reading so many great reviews. We were not disappointed! We ordered the Bratwurst with a side of patatas bravas, the Backyard Burger, Social Wings (buffalo wings) and the Roasted Cauliflower (vegetarian version of the buffalo wings - spicy!). The food came out quite quickly and was delicious. Our waitress Sylvia was warm, welcoming and friendly and gave us excellent service. She was one of the best waitresses we've had during our holidays...We were very happy that we found the Social List and would happily eat here again.

I should have stuck with the ale and cider selections, but I was hungry and thought Beeckwood has great food, so will Congregation... The pretzel was good (how do you get a big pretzel wrong?) the rest of the items we ordered for our table we very average at best. If we go again, I will definitely eat BEFORE.

What I can say that hasn't already been written about this place over the years. We are in town for business every year in March so gotta visit Joe Josts! Another grand evening for my 61st birthday with way too much beer, egg sandwiches, specials and pretzels. Thanks, JJ.

Shenanigans Irish Pub & Grille is a fun, inviting bar and restaurant in Long Beach. We provide the traditional sense of community that can be found in authentic pubs across Ireland. Come grab something to eat and toss back a few cold ones while you watch
Our breakfast in Long Beach left a very bad impression of the first day of our holiday. The place is very dirty in general, sticky floors & tables, all cutlery & dishes were not washed properly and we had to change our cutlery 3 times. We ordered hot tea, which were delivered lukewarm, when asked if I my tea could be made with a boiled water and very hot I received such attitude from our waiter that I thought she was going to kill me. However, the worst part was when our food arrived 35 minutes later with the hash browns being still frozen inside. I complained to the waiter about it, he put his finger on my hash brown to test the temperature (I guess) then he said: âitâs not cold, this is how we serve itâ. We requested for our food to be changed and to be hot. 10 minutes later our food was served and actually it was very tasty. Our overall conclusion of this experience: Never ever to come to this place again. However, at the end, our ordered food was delicious but the attitude of the serving staff & the speed of 3 waiters handling only 8 tables at 10am in the morning ruined our whole breakfast experience. Iâm not going to talk about the hygiene of this place because (as our further experience in LA shown) it looks like every restaurant & bar have this kind of stands. My advice to people who want to eat at this restaurant would be - is to be more explicit to your waiter regarding your order, so you donât end up being âa difficult customerâ like we were, without even intending it.Ms, I'm appalled to see feedback like this. Our goal is for every guest to leave fully satisfied with not only their meal but the service they receive. We are glad you enjoyed the food and will discuss your comments with the staff. Also, we do clean the entire pub every morning and we use a dishwashing machine for the dishes to ensure dishes are clean. Best, Theresa, General Manager

I'm not sure if Beachwood BBQ & Brewing sees the barbecue as a primary focus or not, but I was disappointed. The meat had little flavor and the sauce was institutional. There was a good selection of beer, including a number that they brew themselves. If you go, go for the beer.

My wife and come here often just to have some of their unbelievable Artichoke dip. It is to die for! But their other menu options are fantastic as well. Great place to just chill, watch the people on the bike path and enjoy the ocean breeze.

Located in downtown Long Beach, this casual eatery offers California-French comfort food and an urban-style "roof tap" beer garden.
I was actually on a blind date, 530 pm on a Sunday night. It was easy to find her, the place was pretty empty. But it was perfect, soaring ceiling, quiet, low lights, the perfect atmosphere to get to know someone. The date was arranged, I don't live in Long Beach, it was a great choice. The food was very good, the waitress we had was attentive, great service and let us take our time. This will definitely be a place I will consider when I go on a real date.

What a fun place we were here after a business event and ended up closing the place down. They had cold beer and great cocktails and the band that was playing was really good. We drank and danced til about two in the morning and the staff was great. If you are looking for a fun bar to hang at this is a great one in Long Beach.
