Visited Porthmadog after visiting Carnavon Castle. Beautiful village with small train operating from Carnavon and beyond worth the trip . Was there during bank holiday long weekend. Not as crowded . All of northern wales is beautiful. The Ship was very good . Worth a visit but all the shops in town are very quaint and people very friendly.

Part of the Wolverhampton and Dudley Breweries (Marston's) empire and particularly popular during the day with walkers, with or without their hounds in tow. The Boon Doggle was particularly tasty and refreshing when we visited and was enjoyed in tandem with a nicely prepared lunch. Lots of alcoves and nooks and crannies add to the cosy atmosphere of the pub whose main bar is to the rear of the premises. Well worth a visit.

Set in Snowdonia National Park, a family run business which offers heartily home cooked food. We pride ourselves on quality locally sourced produce and a homely atmosphere with views from the restaurant overlooking Snowdon.
Two minutes walk from where we stayed at The Estuary Lodge. Made to feel very welcome on arrival on a Friday evening and we hadn't booked. Excellent atmosphere, food, drinks and service. Food is of an excellent standard and large portions which we all enjoyed. Thank You H & K.

First of all great they let dogs in although we don't have one anymore and great idea having veggie chilli option which both myself and my wife ordered.Good portion size but totally lacking in chilli flavour, soooooo bland. Wish I had my chilli flakes and chilli powder with me. Even my wife thought it was tasteless. Could have been so good with roasted red pepper and aubergine in a rich spicy chilli sauce. Even cooked fresh chillies. Wish I'd cooked in caravan.

Restaurant & Bar in the heart of Snowdonia. Freshly cooked, homemade bar food and great Ales. Freshly cooked Sunday Lunch. Ideal for functions, weddings, discos & parties.
Amazing food! Decent prices too. Not a massive selection, but for what there is on offer, it is quality food. The pea risotto is delicious! And the mushy peas that come with the scampi are out of this world! There's a nice little play area at the back of the restaurant too. Staff are really friendly and smiley!

Family run 5 bedroom hotel, public bar & restaurant with outdoor sun terrace & gardens. Close to the sea & mountains. Brilliant place to relax, walk or cycle
A group of 6 of us ate here on Friday evening. We had booked but on arrival the outside area was nice, sun beaming so we decided to eat outside instead. Staff were friendly and accommodating. All meals were nice pub food, only complaint was our meals came out from the kitchen staggered.

Hotel, bar and restaurant located in Harlech oposite Royal St Davidâs Golf Course and underneath Harlech Castle.
A great find for food and service - particularly recommend the " duo of lamb" with the best seared lamb rump I have had in a very long time. This is a good restaurant rather than a pub grub venue.

An excellent family pub / restaurant on the main A 496 road between Barmouth and Harlech.
Was sent here by another pub as they were full. Yes we got food but service is go to bar and order drinks and meals. Had really no warmth or charm. Also can not say meal was overly good.
