Previously (well quite some time ago) this was a decent / good place. Our last visit will be the last one for a long time, though. The food was barely ok, just a general feeling. The net selection. Well basically everything that wouldn't qualify for the label "en stor stark" was put of stock. Quote a few net that was on tap according to the menu, was on bottle (well, of they'd had any...) Thus, it wasn't a pleasant visit.

I had dinner at this restaurant earlier tonight. The food and wine were alright (but not more) and reasonably prized. The food looked nice on the plate, too. The wine was maybe a little watery... The location was very good: when you were sitting at an outdoor table, you had a view over the magnificent Cathedral of Linköping, and also you could sit and watch all the people going by, as à gatan is a busy street. What I did not like however, was the fact that the waiter did not seem to understand either Swedish or English (I tried both languages). I asked for a "halvkaraff" (half a carafe) of red wine, and first I asked the price of this - and I thought we understood each other. But then I only got one glass of wine anyway, and it was obvious that he did not understand what I meant with "carafe". He did not make any attempts to correct his mistake, so I had to make do with only one glass. He was obviously not interested in my attemts to try to explain the word, either. He also had to come back once in between, to ask again if I wanted red or white wine...Also, the waiter was not a bit interested in trying a little small talk with me - which I think you could expect from staff at a "good quality" place like that. And when I got my change back it was too little, so I had to tell him. Of course these were no major mistakes from the waiter's side, but I think a more alert, interested and service-minded person would be a big improvement.

If you love beer, a cosy place with great food and good service then you must try Malt Och Humle. Not that many alternatives on the menu but the ones they have are great, they also have 2 different dishes every day on their chalkboard. Tried the fish and shellfish stew. Perfect amount of food and really tasty, maybe should have had some more shellish in it but other then that a great dish.Really recommend you try it out and try some of their different beers they have.

This is one of the most over-priced and sadly hyped places in town. Not even when the beer is about to walk out the glass it's soo "ripe", will the staff admit there is anything wrong. Food is a bit better but average is the best anything will ever be here.

Re-review of this long standing favorite. The thing about favorite places is that they are consistent over the years. Bishops has been consistent. No change of interior. Same good variety of beers. Same service. Same menu more or less. Consistently same atmosphere, food, bee - great!Feel now there is a new owner... new staff, new food (even if menu is pretty intact), new chef? Interior the same but atmosphere different. Staff less observant, a bit ignorant, discussion internally in front of customer etc., no good feeling. Got the burger and as previous reported, it's different. Not bad but lower quality, bread seems industrial and so on. Feels that priority has been to reduce cost. Does not work. The home-made ketchup was the positive though!OK, you may say that it needs a second chance. But been here many many times over the years and you feel it, gone a big step downwards.I will leave it for a big while. For beer, it's still good but then many places are.

Staying at the Elite Stora Hotellet across the square, I headed over to Ãverste Mörner for a quick bite since the fancier restaurant Storan in the hotel was booked for a private party. The place has a pub feel, nothing fancy or particularly cozy. The Happy Hour/After Work offers sounded good, and the place was packed. But the Smashburger was tiny (it said "double" but double what? In my mind it was regular, leaning towards small, and definitely not double!), with very little of the advertised Bloody Mary ketchup, Bourbon mustard (or something) and sautéed onions. Had to ask for extra Bloody Mary ketchup because it tasted dry. Fries were plentiful and alioli dip ok, but my neighbour's country fries looked much better! The choice of Happy Hour beers was pityful, so it was a pretty dismal meal... Perhaps all the locals order other things off the menu, which explains its popularity, but I was not impressed... Sorry!

I like this place a lot but my one complaint is their very strange pricing. I have even discussed this with the owners but they do not understand my reasoning. The problem is that during lunch one drink is included for a select meal, however if you want another meal the drink is fairly expensive, in addition if you want to for example replace your fries you pay quite a lot extra as well which can lead to for example the "kebabtallrik" to end up around 159 sek which is the most expensive lunch in town. And the food is great but you can't really compare a "kebabtallrik" with the places that offer a buffé of several fancy dishes including desert buffé
