First let me say that under its previous management, I didn't care for this place at all. It was one of those places that was into mass feedings and your check hit the table before you were finished chewing so that they could get the next customer in. So when local restaurateur Tim McCloone took this over some time back and kept the name pretty much the same, I was suspicious. But the wife wanted to try it and so we went for lunch. Well, it was outstanding. Excellent food and very good drinks at moderate prices. And very good service as well. We've now been four times for lunch (we haven't tried dinner) and been 100% happy. Good place for a lunch date or business lunch. Not too noisy, not too quiet. There are a few booths if you want some privacy and also a bar. I seldom hand out five stars, but this place is a winner. Very classy, but not stiff

CJ McLoone's

Haven’t been here in a couple of years and not much has changed...average staff, menu and slow service. Not crowded at lunch but kitchen still takes too much time. Salmon sandwich and prime rib panini choices were ok but took forever. It does not live up to McLoone’s standards at their other locations. It’ll be another few years until I go here again.

My wife and I have now eaten here several times. The room is certainly stylish, and the menu eclectic, but the food needs some work. We tarted with an IPA, and it was not to my taste. Not hoppy enough. We also started with a mezzo plate with hummus, smoked eggplant dip, pickled vegetables, olives and flatbread. The components were fine, but the presentation was stylish but very awkward to eat. The olives and pickled vegetables were piled on top of the two dips so that you had to push them out of the way to get at the dips. Pushing them off of the hummus pushed them onto the eggplant dip and vice verse. Very awkward. I had the tempura vegetables. The coating on the vegetables was thin and not adhered to the vegetables so it fell off when you went to eat the. The Yakatori (?) sauce accompanying them was very thin and did not have much flavor. My wife had the mussels and frites and declared them “fine”. Nuff said, she loves mussels.

Huddy's Inn

We have been going to Huddy’s for over 20 years, one reason is because there are very few restaurants in Colts Neck. We do enjoy eating at the bar, bartenders are always friendly and efficient. You have to know what to order, you are usually safe with a salad. Other meals we have tried have come out of the kitchen cold or not fully cooked. Some meals that have gravy Are drenched in the gravy. The manager never makes eye contact with anyone, and certainly has no idea we have been long standing customers, which has become a family joke.. I would never go out of my way to go here or recommend Huddy’s, it’s just convenient

Dublin House Pub & Restaurant

Everything about the look of the Dublin House makes me want to be there. The space is really cool. Old pub vibe, but the food is just average. Someone needs to take over the menu and add some creativity and freshness. The food is not terrible, but it doesn't blow me away. I wish it did and I would go there more.

Stopped in for lunch. Outside was crowded so sat in the back dining area.... my waiter was very matter of fact. Not friendly , felt like he just wanted to get us in and out. I had the chicken Caesar which was tasty, my child had margarita pizza. Tasted frozen like Elio’s. Was bombarded by flies the entire meal. Waiter never stopped by to check or offer refill - paid and left. There are far better restaurants in red bank - this one was a one and done for me

I have not dined a this restaurant years, and I was in the area. I ordered my salad without onions, and it was brought to the table, and it took quite awhile for the waitress to realize the mistake. The service in general was slow. The steak was grilled to the right temperature, the crab cakes were just average, and the Manhattan Clam Chowder did not have many clams.
