If you are in Harrisburg for a conference, this is the place to hangout. Roomy with plenty of drinks to choose from. Right in the middle of the city. Had the wings and burger. Food was delicious. Service was good. Iâve been here when it was very busy and less crowded. Fun either way.

Ate here with the wife prior to seeing a show at the Whitaker Center. The convenience of the place is great. The atmosphere is nice (but ultimately very loud). The food is pretty good, but the portions are almost criminally small. Since we arrived here early (5 PM), we knew that we were experiencing happy hour here. It took a while to get served after we were seated, though. Apparently there was a staff meeting, and nobody bothered to let them know that customers were sitting there, waiting to be helped. The happy hour food deals are pretty fair, and I think if I ever return, I'll stick with just a few snacks and a drink special. But tonight, since we ordered drinks that weren't on the daily happy hour special menu, I can't speak to that. I noticed that they offered oysters on the half shell for $1 each, as opposed to the usual $3+ during regular hours. I ordered six of them. The presentation was excellent...but man, those were some tiny oysters! If I had paid full price for those, I would have been pissed. For my entree, I selected the smoked bison short rib entree from their "heartier" menu section. I'm not sure that "hearty" means, and I can assume that the chef doesn't know either. The entire $20 entree was maybe 1.5 inches wide by 6 inches long, with a few braised onions and turnip pieces hiding under it. This might have passed as an appetizer in many places.Thankfully the wife ordered a ($15) burger, which came with a decent helping of fries. I was trying to limit my carb intake, but I was hungry, and I didn't want any more overpriced shenanigans...so I took a few of the wife's fries when she offered. Seriously, if you're eating here, avoid the pretentious entrees and just get a burger - it's a relatively good option.Ridiculous portions aside, our server (once he was aware of our presence) was quite friendly and helpful. He even took care of validating our parking ticket, which greatly expedited our departure after the concert. All in all, I'm kind of on the fence about this place. Quality is good. Quantity not so much. On my next concert visit, I'll probably go somewhere else in hopes of getting better value.

This little Italian restaurant just off of N. 2nd St. gets five stars from me. The food here was fantastic (great chef no run-of-the-mill dishes here) the service was excellent and the live piano bar entertainment superb! Noel was the name of the pianist whose smooth voice was perfect and he played a variety of music from Jazz to blues and beyond!!

We went with a group of about 20. It was REALLY LOUD in the dining room. We had been to Brewhouse before. Food is good, not spectacular, but great. There was alot of confusion with our orders and some of us ended up with food that we didn't order. Service was good. Wings are very good.

Once again my family and I had a great time at Sturges speakeasy. This is a brunch favorite of ours and we are never disappointed. We arrived at Sturges speakeasy for brunch without reservations and were seated right away. We had one of our favorite waiters Robby take care of us. We were read the specials and I immediately knew that I wanted the lamb and eggs Benedict. My wife ordered the surf and turf eggs Benedict. Our food came out nice and fast and per usual it was absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed a victory golden monkey during our meal. Sturges speakeasy is a guaranteed good time with delicious food and drink and a great atmosphere. Law enforcement, firefighters,EMS and military are also offer a small discount for there service. This is a must try restaurant for any time. Whether it be brunch or a night out with friends, there is something for everyone.

I have been coming here for years. I always loved this place..good atmosphere..and good food.. Unfortunately, recently changed ownership and has slipped. Food was sub par(fish tacos) and service poor.. I was hoping this was an anomaly, but 3rd time since ownership change that this has been the case. Sad..

I've been here before and liked the place a lot. So I choose this as a birthday lunch destination. I'll start by saying the waitress was friendly but her waitressing skills needed a heavy upgrade. Had ribs (average in flavor, a bit dry), and it took several requests to get them from her. I ended up using other peoples napkins. Ordered fries well done and rice pilaf as sides. Fries were cold and not crispy, rice was simply nasty! Cold and hard. A minute after I ordered a half a rack of ribs I flagged down the waitress to make that a full order. "I can't, I already put the order in." Ah, maybe a second 1/2 rack would work? My brother ordered soup - never came out but sure enough was on the bill. My son ordered a chicken sandwich and thought he was going to get sick on it half way through the meal. I received several requests from others at the table that we never stop there again. Not going that far, but I felt pretty upset after my excitement for this place was replaced with resentment. But hey, at least the view of the river was nice. ; )

We haven't visited this restaurant in many years, so we decided to give it a try during Restaurant Week. What a pleasant surprise! Most surprising, their Restaurant Week menu included selections from their regular menu, which isn't usually how restaurants do it. Their selections were terrific and will certainly make people want to return. The starters were a combination of traditional and unique. The soft pretzels were like many bars serve, but the cheese-steak Arancinis were fantastic, with traditional rice but bits of steak, onions and cheese - and delicious jalepeno crema. The Spanish paella was tasty, and the 24-hour brisket was tender, served with a Bourbon peach BBQ sauce and an amazing butter-poached potato. The staff was friendly and attentive, even though they were spread over a large portion of the restaurant.

When you walk in it immediately looks like a giant log cabin. Super cozy, especially in these winter months. I sat at the bar, which had ample seating and was greated by 2 bartenders who let me try a couple samples and i went with the brut ipa 1st followed by the barleywine; both were excellent. I ordered the fire jumper as a turkey burger ams i loved it! They have a chipotle like mayo that has a great kick (you guys should make it a ranch too!) to the burger. My 1 complaint is that the chef didnt melt my cheese. It was a very mellow friday night so they have no excuse not to take an extra 10secs for that added touch everyone appreciates. All in all a great place to grab some comfort food and local beer

Two visits last weekend. First visit, black bean burger for vegetarian in our group, nicely done. Pretty good pizza. Service was good. Second visit food good, but our waitress was odd. Gave us very monosyllabic answers, made us feel a bit awkward. The food was good. Maybe we caught the server on a bad night. Federal Taphouse is a good casual spot in Harrisburg, one of the better sports bars in town.
