a great well managed pub ! amazing staff ..foid..garsen. entertainment and tokerance of a mixed crowd ..necer do they tolerated rudeness..bad language or attitude how rare that why its not a brand or chain pub as its more about the local community .. rare to find these days

Having recently adopted a dog we had asked friends to find somewhere near them for dinner that we could bring her to. They struck gold! Not only did the pub have a great drink selection (wine, beer AND gin!) but the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was great! We were looked after by a great guy called Chris who was very lovely with our nervous dog, she settled right down thanks to him and some very friendly locals. We ordered from the gin menu before dinner and wine with the food - All superb! We had the burger, fish and chips and the steak and all were excellent! In particular, the burger was moist and well packed, and the chips were double cooked! We will definitely return - The pub clearly has a well set up outside space and hosts BBQsDear MrVilliers thank you for your review. We love the detail youâve listed and appreciate the kind comments about Chris that weâll share with him. We are pet friendly at all our sites. Keep popping in and again, thank you. Dolly & the team.

Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. Nice decor inside. Nice sunny beer garden outside. Child and dog friendly. Loads of boardgames to play whilst waiting for food. I had one of the best steaks I've had for a while, beautifully cooked with a lovely peppercorn sauce. Also came with loads of chips. Really reasonably priced. Very nice thanks. We'll be back!

We drove past the Marquis (didn't look very inviting) and drew up outside the Gardener's Arms. Not much room in the narrow street but there is a car park.I had the steakand kidney pudding - huge with plenty of vegetables. It was excellent. My friend had the sausages and mash - three big sausages. His was good as weel.Just off the busy A27 this is an excellent find.

We as a group, West Sussex Downs Diabetes UK Support Group, celebrated our Christmas lunch at The New Sussex Hotel Restaurant, Lancing, 13th December, 2018.. Were extremely impressed with the ambiance, service and meal offered, relative to comments made by members. With our dietary restrictions being fulfilled. Subsequently have no hesitation recommending The New Sussex Hotel.

With many pubs/ restaurants in Shoreham, there is a wide choice for the localâs. It is not surprising therefore, that many of them visit the bridge over and over again.I tend to go in for drinks and food around 3 times a week. Food is consistently good and really good value for money. My dad, who is the fussiest eater, travels over from Peacehaven, on a bus, most Fridays. He says the fish and chips are great and loves the halloumi or fish finger sandwich, of course served without any tartare and ketchup on the side, which is duly obliged. The staff always seem happy and well marshalled. It does get really busy, so sometimes you need to book and yes sometimes, in busy sittings, you can wait a while for food. But what a great spot to be waiting, great atmosphere, with the river running behind, giving fantastic views and a fantastic wide selection of beers, wines and spirits. The whistling duck Chardonnay is really drinkable./

Multi award-winning town centre public house located on the East side of Worthing near Steyne Gardens and on the popular 700 bus route. The pub benefits from: 1. Award-winning food - 7 days a week 2. Live music every Friday and Saturday night 3. Continued
Had heard a lot about how good the pub food was, so when my friend asked me for a meal for birthday, I suggested here, so first time for both, and we both had amazing food and service, we opted for the Cauliflower popcorn with a chilli dip, which was lovely, the we had the Vegan Fish & Chips ( comes from part of the banana plant , it was delicious, washed down with a nice wine, we couldnât manage pudding, but next time, we will, looking forward to returning soon.
