I have been to St. Veronus a handful of times and typically enjoy my experience. However, I attended for dinner with a friend (who I am introducing to various restaurants around town) and, although the food was delicious (as usual) the waitress that sat us was rude and impatient. Our waitress was friendly enough but also somewhat impatient. Since this was my second experience like this, I would not go back or further recommend this restaurant.

This smaller than I thought it would be was visited for the first time. We placed our name and waited for table at bar. Very good atmosphere at this point. We were seated on an outside table with what will likely be one of the remaining pleasant nights before itâs too cool. We had a variety of foods. Majority were good. A few of them were a bit too saucy and lack of taste - Carma. Nice restaurant on East City of Peterborough. Food is good. Price is good. Ale is very good.

Casual atmosphere with the most pleasant staff and ownership I have ever encountered!! Anything on the menu is outstanding. Wing night Wednesday's and Pizza night Thursday's are great value for the best Wings and Pizza!! French Onion Soup and any of the Salad's are excellent, prepared by professional chef's.

We ate here for Sunday lunch after attending St. Peter's Church on the Rock. Since it's a new place, we decided to give it a try and are glad we did. Trish was an outstanding server. The lunch was not only innovative and delicious, but the views of Stoney Lake from the patio were amazing.

Went for lunch...first time was delicious..we had French onion soup and corned beef on rye. So I was very excited to go back. The restaurant is warm and homey with fire places. 9The menu was pretty small. Asked about soup on this visit and they weren't serving French onion soup until Sunday. How bout the corned beef. Nope. Settled for hamburger that was so burnt I couldn't eat it..stale bun I only took a few bites and cold chewy onion rings. My husband got a different burger but it was pretty awful too. The fries were very good though. So for just a couple burgers with fries and just water to drink it was 45 bucks with tip. McDonalds would have been better unfortunately. I wish they didn't pick and choose days to serve different food...my advice..stay away from the burgers and onion rings.

Ironically, I cannot rate a zero, but would. I have been here before, and was looking forward to lunch on the start of the long weekend. It was 1330h and we sat down. 1340h we ordered a fried chicken sandwich and toad in the hole (on the menu, it stated 5-10 min longer wait). Ok. Great, we're in. At 1410h, server goes to kitchen to check on order... another 10-15 min. Cancel the toad. Just bring the sandwich.... Confers with the kitchen... it will be another 8-10 min. To deep fry a chicken sandwich? NO: walked out. If it takes half an hour more to prep a dish, tell your customer. If you don't have enough staff to serve or cook, tell your customers. I'm not sure we will give it another try. :( disappointed, for sure. Thankyou for taking the time to give us feedback, I am sorry you had a bad experience. With it being the start of a busy long weekend wait times were approaching 30 minutes which was communicated to customers. As you noted, the Toad in the Hole take a 5-10 mins extra, also communicated to you, and we time our food to be ready at the same time so everything is hot and fresh. As such chicken sandwich had not yet been dropped. When you checked at the 30 min mark, we informed you it be 10 more mins for the Toad, and we could do or best for the chicken sandwich but it would likely be another 5-10 given our fryers were in use on another item that was cooking for another minute. We use fresh chicken which is breaded to order and it takes 5-6 minutes to do that and come to temperature - it must reach 165 degrees before we can top and serve it (another 1-2 minutes). You walked out at the 33 minute mark, and the food was ready after 38 minutes. I understand it was hot, you were hungry, and it was frustrating for you but we did our best given the circumstances. If you had not ordered the toad we could have had your meals out sooner. With that said I apologize for the effect this has had on your long weekend and hope it improves!
