Things to do in Keene
This place is good for Keene State students who want to come in for a drink and play pool. Outside is so quaint but they need to spend some money on the inside. Drinks were good and bartender Andrea was excellent.

Its Is A Bar With Bar Food. The Appeal Is The Variety Of Beer At A Good Price In A Good Location---not The Food
On a nice Friday night I expected all of the bars in the downtown area to be busy, but this was very different. We walked up the the front door, which was surrounded by smokers, entered and about a quarter of the tables were full and the six seats at the bar were occupied. We waited for the bartender to finish talking to the other bartender(I don't think they needed two on) and his little girly friend who was sitting at the bar to order. A few minutes later we were able to get drinks. After the drinks we decided to leave for better atmosphere. Do. Not. Return.

We spent an afternoon in Keene and randomly wandered into The Pour House. They appear to work with the Mexican place next door as you can order food off of that menu. Huge selection of alcohol. I don't know if I've seen so many flavored vodkas. I went with a ginger ale and blueberry vodka. No regrets with that drink! Great selection of beers on tap too. The bartender that helped us was so nice. Really sold us on the food next door and some of the drinks. Very nice crowd too - some regulars and some tourists. Plenty of tvs and the noise level wasn't bad at all. Only bothersome thing were the flies. Had to keep swatting them away from our massive and delicious nacho supreme dish from next door. We would definitely stop in again!

Chili's is a favorite of ours regardless of where we are. Why?; consistency of food and service combined with good value in a comfortable setting. This Chili's is an exception in that our server who was also tending bar, was noticeably inattentive despite having a very, very light lunch customer load throughout the restaurant. We waited too long before being approached after being seated and had to seek out our server to request a refill for our ice tea despite the glass being empty for an extended period.Management at this location may be well advised to discuss staff priorities (i.e.: customers first, fraternizing with each other never when customers are present) and implement some sort of quality control program, particularly if the employee pool is drawn largely from Keene State University which is a stone's throw away.

This bar is attached to the Keene Best Western. However, you cannot take alcohol from the bar space to the hotel space. This bar is a huge square where customers can order drinks and food and watch TVs. Beyond the bar counters, there are several alcoves with tables.

Located conveniently in downtown Keene, this small bar can be a quiet place for get-togethers or packed with locals and/students from the college. Staff is all very friendly and the food is pretty good. They have a couple dart boards and pool table for those who are interested in light play. TV for sports. A little something for all.

Usually The Pub has breakfast all day. We went there after Church on Easter Sunday. They had a special menu for Easter and breakfast ended at noon. Students who came in after lunch left when they found out there was no all day breakfast. We were disappointed but ordered the salads rather than a full Easter dinner. Food was good and reasonably priced.

Went here with a couple girlfriends this past weekend, and it was pretty average. Typical bar, reasonably priced drinks, decent atmosphere. The cocktail menu is quite extensive, but there wasn't anything particularly new or creative.

Always love dining here when we visit beautiful Main Street, Keene, NH. Recently though our meal was disappointing. My husband ordered a pizza which arrived burnt and too hard to bite into. Our server's only response to his complaint was that a new pizza cook had just started. No offer to bring him something else and the bill was never adjusted. My Shrimp burger was just mediocre, though the sweet potato fries were very good. It was hard to find something wonderful to order on the new menu which was the most disappointing part of our evening. In the past it was hard to choose one of all the fabulous choices. We're hoping Firworks brings back some of their tried and true dishes and specials.

Nice casual looking place with indoor and outdoor seating. Good varied beer. Reasonable burger and good fries. Thatâs about it. Onion rings - batter was too thick. Fried potato pancakes - undercooked and too thick - and not enough potatoes. Fried mushrooms - slightly soggy but ok. Fish (of fish and chips) and all the sauces - unfortunately no taste. If you want a burger, fries and beer - youâre good. If you want something more...
