Saluting the history of Jasper, our local pub celebrates the innovation and vision of the Brewster Brothers, who, in the early 1900s, pitched a group of tents on the shores of Lac Beauvert and named it Tent City. Tent City Pub's menu offers a variety of t
Probably would have had a better review however we stopped in minutes after a large group and unfortunately the service struggled with the groups needs and we waited

This restaurant gets some forgiveness from me, because it is so hard to maintain either a high level or consistency when subjected to seasonal business swings. We had dinner (prime rib) and breakfast (buffet) as part of a tour group staying at the Tonquin Inn next door. Both meals were satisfactory.

We had the opportunity/need for a late afternoon drink 3 different time during out stay in Jasper and this place supplied ample goods. The 3 different bar tenders we had were knowledgeable and friendly and the drinks were right and tasty. We also, unfortunately, had the opportunity to eat there one night when the power went out in the city and they did a yeoman's job, in the dark, of supplying sandwiches, soups and a small side salad.

We were tired from a full day trip. Shopped a little. But needed food and drink - D'ed Dog Bar & Grill fit the bill. We satisfied our thirst FIRST, then had great burgers and a caesar salad. THANKS D'ed Dog!

We headed in for drinks and a few games of pool to kill an afternoon too hot to hike. Servers were friendly and drinks were reasonably priced. We didnât eat here so canât comment on the food. Enjoyed the music playing, seemed like it would be good in the evenings for a bit of bar scene.

Canada's first brewery in a national park, we've been creating a community focused beer culture since 2005. Pop in for a pint and inspired pub fare in Jasper, Alberta.
Ate here at the recommendation of our hotel. Parking was along the main street in town, but we were able to snag a good spot just outside the restaurant. The place is definitely a favorite with the locals. We ordered the poutine as an appetizer for 10.50, the elk meatloaf 27.50 (split between the two of us), and the Lucky Charms cheese cake for dessert. The poutine portion was huge for an appetizer, and we ended up just eating half of it so as not to spoil the main course. The elk meatloaf was very good. Definitely the first time we ever had such a dish. The Lucky Charms cheese cake was ok, but not memorable. It was a cheese cake recipe that incorporated the cereal of the day which just so happened to be Lucky Charms for our visit.Overall, we were not impressed with the restaurant. It felt very sterile and corporate with the food we ate comparable to an Applebee's or TGIF. When you have a craft beer place, I tend to think the food should reflect something different and original as well. The food was good, but we did not have that wow factor. The beer was good.  Service was good, cheerful, and helpful. The atmosphere is nice but very sports bar like. The interior design left me underwhelmed.Overall, we probably would not go back. It's definitely a place where the young, local crowd goes to interact, but we wanted a little more flavor, and what we experienced was too generic for us.

The Downstream was recreated in 2008 by local owner Sotirios Korogonas as a concept for a modern restaurant & lounge that retains Jasper's mountain town spirit and casual feel. Chef David Gomez masterfully delivers Jasper's best homemade meals using only
Our first time in Jasper and therefore our first time in Downstream .. the location came highly recommended by Stanley who is a driver for Jasper Motorcycle Tours in town ⦠A location with great atmosphere and décor, very cozy feel â¦. seated promptly and served drinks in the same manner ⦠excellent local craft beer choices ...my choice was the Elk Steak, cooked medium rare and to perfection, great plate presentation, and a good portion â¦.. My wife went with the Pacific Salmon Steak which was on a bed of garlic mashed â¦. also delicious but she thought a little dry for her taste â¦. all and all, good drinks, great food, great atmosphere, reasonable cost ⦠highly recommended.
