The large city of Iasi has been a cultural and political hub since the 15th century. Everything orbits the Golden Plateau, bookended by the Palace of Culture and Union Square, and packed to the brim with churches and palaces galore. Iasi has significant Jewish history. The first Yiddish-language newspaper was published here, and the 17th-century Great Synagogue is the oldest surviving synagogue in Romania.

Wasn't going to write this review as my fiancée was also going to write a one star review, but then the staff rounded the change down without asking even though they knew we were very unhappy. We were staying in the hotel so went back to the bar for a night cap. I don't have any complaints about the bar itself, nice view and fairly trendy setting. Where it went wrong was the drinks and the service.I ordered a mojito cocktail and my other half a rum. The rum was OK but in the wrong glass. The mojito however tasted like sugary mint water, and ive had many mojito before but this one literally tasted of fruit juice. After sending it back the waiter brought it back to me and told me it had a double in it and walked away again. I complained again and asked to swap it for a beer but the aggressive waiter then just grabbed a bottle of Havana 3, poured some in and stomped off.The cocktail was thereafter crap, and I drank less than half but still the staff helped themselves to a small part of the change as either they had no change or knew they would not get a tip from us. I do not recommend this bar in the slightest.
If you are visiting, the place is perfectly located to have lunch: nearby the Palace of Culture and close to the new city attraction, the Palas Mall. Food was ok, not quite exceptional, and the service was accurate and fast, despite the rush hour. I have been told that, in the evening, the place become a sort of Coyote Uggly bar...to be followed!
An English Pub in the heart of the city. Near Hotel Astoria, Hotel Traian and Hotel Unirea. You can find us on the pedestrian zone of the street Lapusneanu.
A great little bar, with good music (at just the right volume for conversation over drinks) and a wide selection of beers and cocktails. Not exactly an English 'pub' experience, but a nice place to bring a date or catch up with a friend in trendy surroundings.

Terasa Corso is the perfect place for you if you want to enjoy a creamy, strong flavoured coffee early in the morning or an orange fresh squeezed on the spot...By the time the sun heats ,you can cool down with our fresh made lemonades and our cooling stea
We went to this restaurant with several friends, and we ordered pizza (quatro formaggi and vegetarian pizza), since there were little other vegetarian choices. The pizza was very good, and though we ordered the small size, it was very big and neither of us could eat it all. Some of our friends ordered coffee, but they were not very happy with it, because the coffee was brought in tiny little cups, and the cups were only half filled! The service was prompt and nice, however they didn't clean the table at all during our stay (for about 5 hours), so it was full of empty bottles, dirty plates, glasses, cups, and so on. I recommend it for the pizza.

We ate at this restaurant at the recommendation of some friends, and we loved it! The restaurant is located in an old mansion downtown, it is very nicely decorated, very clean, and modern. The food was delicious, we were a party of six and we all liked the food very much. The plates were also decorated very nicely. The service was very nice and prompt and the background music (jazz) was nice and comforting. The place was illuminated softly, however the light spots were focused on the food, so there was a general feeling of intimacy, and at the same time we could easily see what we were eating. We stayed inside, because it was a chilly evening, but we noticed at the tables outside cushions and blankets for the people who preferred to stay there (especially smokers), which I thought it was a nice touch. The prices were OK, too. I liked the restaurant also for the fact that they had plenty of choices for vegetarians, too, also for vegans. I highly recommend this place, we will definitely go there again!

Good location, Close to Palas. The restaurant is nice arranged inside, maybe the chairs are not too confortable. But you feel good, a relaxing athmoshere is inside. The problem is because of the service, very poor. The same situation is even the restaurant is full or only with a few customers.About the food, I can say itâs average, nothing special.

The best beer house in town. Over 200 types of craft beer.
Wonderful place with a great selection of Romanian and international beers. What we love about this place (apart from the awesome beer) is the service, because the guys always give proper recommendations based on each ones tastes. I highly recommend you enjoy Iasi's finest beers at Beer Zone.
