My party of three stopped in on a Tuesday evening (around 8:30pm). For whatever reason, we were seated next to a family with several small children even though there was plenty of seats available further away. Our server was not in a hurry to wait on us, and others were starting the clean up process. We did ask if we had time to order (yes, they close at 11pm), but yet we waited for our server. Not a good start. The food and amount served was ok and the price was reasonable. I ordered an after dinner alcoholic coffee drink and was charged $10 for something that tasted like coffee only). Needless-to-say, we were unimpressed with this place and would probably not go back.

In town on business, I was looking for a casual spot for dinner. It was late, and Southside Tavern had good reviews, so I thought Iâd give it a try.Itâs a sports bar. A little rough, a little dingy, very loud inside, but a boatload of TVs on the wall, friendly service, generous pours, and my salmon entrée was tasty and nicely prepared.For a fine dinner out, you may want to look elsewhere, but if youâre looking for a place to watch a game or have a drink with friends, Southside Tavern fits the bill.

I have always enjoyed the menu from the East Side location and glad to have it closer to home. Food is always good and never disappoints. Place is usually packed which can lead to slight delay in service but the staff is friendly and extremely accommodating. Their Bar pizza is great and reminds me of the PIzza Pub (prior location's name)- I heard the brought the original oven over and bar pans. Anyway all of the food is great. Have not had a single bad thing in the menu.

The family and I stopped in on the way back home and was amazed at the incredibly prepared food in a comfy cozy atmosphere by the fireplace. Prime Rib, Fresh seafood and the kid had a Burger that looked and tasted incredible. Friendly service, great food, good price and a great atmosphere ...would be here every week if I lived in town.Thank you for the nice review and kind words. Hope to see you back again sometime soon. I had a steak veggie and fries my wife had a Turkey club that was huge and could have been named after a celebrity. Drinks aren't stingy a little over 5.00 for a generous pour brand name scotch, a medium sized wine glass with a true pour and a full high end Martini at around $7.00. If I were an emcee for a television show that rated restaurants you'd list this as a hidden Jewell here in Weymouth, all for a budget price. A lot of families come here. I come here on a regular basis, sometimes weekly for lunch and I always order either the Cauliflower appetizer served with asian chili sauce or the spicy chicken wrap which is also served with a asian chili sauce. The food is usually consistently good and I love the pub cheese and pretzels they serve at the bar area. However, this time, our order fell thru the cracks big time. Our waiter who was very pleasant was definitely handling too much. He had a large party of 20 people who really had him hopping. In all fairness to our waiter, his manager should have stepped up and had another waiter, wait on us. That is why I am writing this revue, hoping that they will take notice! We had other customers who sat down after us, were waited on by another server and got their food almost immediately. Trying to reach our waiter was next to impossible. Finally, I had to get up, go over to him, tell him: SIr: We have a problem! Well, you could see he was totally overwhelmed but what was I to do? Too make a long story short, the manager was involved after the damage was done. He did comp us one of our entrees and the food was good but all of this could have been avoided! So, I still recommend the food but if your waiter has a large table before you, forget about it! Just turn around and run! Enjoy! :)

I got chicken piccata, lukewarm, could of used steak knife. Boyfriend got tips, ok. Sat at bar,slow service, not overly busy, never checked back to see how meal was. 4 servers hanging by end of bar near entrance on cell phones, won't rush to come back

Our family was in town for my sons wedding and found the Hatter in his neighborhood. Glad we did we had excellent food including Lobster mac and cheese and some nice Irish specialties. Our waitress was so good and personable we will be back every time we visit our son and his new wife.
