While the food is usually good here we got a surprise, my granddaughter found a large piece of soft plastic in her chicken Alfredo!!the waitress was very upset by this but what made me mad was the way the manager handled it, she acted like it was no big deal and was not even going to make an adjustment on bill until I asked. I understand mistakes happen but when your not courteous about it it's like you don't care about your customers, just watch what you eat at this Applebees please

A nice pub atmosphere. Good food and beers. Our server was great. Everyone enjoyed their meals - steak sandwich, chicken and Irish Stew. Lots of tvs if you want to watch a game.

We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into this tavern. It was fresh and clean. Very nice seating and interesting bar. There are TV's all around the walls of this place. It would be a great place to catch a game. The service was friendly and helpful. The food and drink specials were very good. We had a burger and the wings. We really enjoyed the wings. They were decent sized not large like they advertised but bigger than BWWs. The burger was pretty average. The drinks were inexpensive. You can get a draft beer for $2.50 and on our night glasses of wine were $2.40. We were very pleased with the drink prices. This was the best bar that we had been to in Hickory. We would return for a game. Decent value and experience.

Que Rico: A Spanish language phrase commonly used to describe something absolutely delicious. Que Rico!, formerly Crazy Grill, is locally owned and operated restaurant in the heart of Viewmont. Serving freshly cooked Latin-American and Mexican street food
Nothing crazy about this place, just great food. We had the special of the day chicken with sausage on top with white Mexican cheese, beans and rice. We also had a Cheese Quesadilla with the same sides. The chip and salsa was great, not to hot to our taste buds. We had a bottle coke and ice water. The waitress was really great. It does have some basic Italian and American food but I would get the Mexican food.Thank you for your review Henry, we hope to see you next time!

The Hickory Tavern is the perfect place for a business lunch, after work happy hour, or to go watch any game! Bring the kids or just have a girl's night out. Whatever the occasion, the Hickory Tavern is always the perfect destination! The preferred game d
WE have visited here a few times. This bar is well done. Large TV's abound. We had drinks, burgers and salads here. We felt like all were good. But overall their was nothing distinctive about this bar except for the atmosphere. We had read the reviews prior to coming here and noted that people score this place all over the place. Obviously there is some consistency issues here. Our experiences were good, but nothing great. We do enjoy the atmosphere. The prices seem higher than most equivalent places in the area. This is one of the best atmospheres in the area for a bar, but mediocre experience.

Iron Thunder is a little different from most sports bars I've ever been in. They have theme nights for the waitresses, lingerie night, school girl night, etc. but the clientele is not largely male. I saw patrons from all ages and walks of life. I had 36 steamed shrimp and an enormous basket of fries for under $8. The portions are enormous. Prices are excellent. Food is of good quality. I liked it.

Our food was basically âgoodâ; drinks okay. If we had all night-a better review would be forthcoming. Whether by design or due to illness/vacancies: one waitress/cashier/hostess and one cook! Many of us hoping for a âquickâ good meal before attending the Carolina Theatre around the corner=disaster. Hire some staff-please!Weâve lived here 30+ years & know of lots of alternatives.
Where to eat American food in Hickory: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Hickory, even though it is a very small town, is seriously devoid of any decent places to eat except fpr Fourk, specially for normal people. The carnivores do not care about their food so they are free to eat where they want. I was in Hickory for a day and after a nic elunch at Fourk, ended up here for dinner. As I walked in around 6PM, the place was full of aging, whit haired old men guzzling their beers, the kind of folks who would have voted to put that buffoon in the W h i t e H o u s e. The name of the place is very misleading.. It is more of a pub / bar than a cafe, even though they have a cafe like food menu. The nachos were multiplex quality. The quesadilla with the mango chutney sounded more exciting than it turned out to be. The sweetness was over powering and the jalapenos that I asked for were milder than bell pepper. The salsa was supermarket quality. However, the margaritas were good and well priced. Service was very hassled and very difficult to get any one's attention. And American diners and servers need to be awre that tipping is not a matter of right or entitlement. It has to be earned.

Quirky place and cool seating inside giant wine casks that can hold 4-5 people depending on your girth. It is a traditional brewpub with local brews from Olde Hickory Brewing. Great craft beer and menu selection. Everyone in our party of four was pleased with their food & drink. Service was friendly and attentive. Off the beaten path but worth the trek.

The Hickory area is being revitalized with a shopping area that includes cute boutiques and places to eat. The Hickory Brew is one of those places. We grabbed a few IPAs and enjoyed burgers. The Irish root was a great side dish as was the slaw. The bar is large with high ceilings and several tables. The bartender was friendly and attentive.
