Absolutely fantastic carvery offering! The range of meats and complementary vegetables was outstanding. The chef really promotes his dishes so well and we have never before tasted such good roast beef, turkey, yorkies, sprouts & roast potatoes! Brilliant - we shall be back!

As regular visitors to this restaurant we had high hopes following the recent refurbishment of both inside and out. Sadly the proprietor has concentrated on style over substance. The food was honestly the worst I have ever been served in a place purporting to be a restaurant. Some items had been badly cooked, stored and then preheated. This is a nice pub with friendly staff but unless and until someone is prepared to actually cook the food freshly they should stick to serving a cheese toastie. We will not be returning.
Cafe bar serving great coffee, homemade cakes and food, local and Scottish ales and gin amongst many other drinks. Chilled atmosphere. Music and open mics are a staple part of Brew life!
Tried for lunch and had pizza and chicken sandwich. Pizza as burnt on bottom making it quite difficult to cut,it was also dry and not very good (£7. )Sandwich did not have much chicken and bread not very fresh. Very average. There are many better places in Hawick for lunch
