Things to do in Haddington
The Green Haddington is a family run pub based in the centre of Haddington. We serve fresh food and drink with a large children's play area. The pub has four letting rooms and a large four bedroom house to hire.
I went to The Green which has recently opened with my two young boys and my wife for some supper. We liked the fact it had a childrenâs play area and is very convenient for us. We all went for burgers which were large and the kids burgers were the same size as the adult ones which was good. Whilst I was putting my side salad in my burger I found a very much alive slater. I quietly bought this to the attention of the staff including what I think was the manger and I was joked with that at least the salad is fresh. My plate was take to the kitchen where I followed it, and asked for them not to chuck my burger but just remove the woodlouse salad, as I had two kids and didnât have time to wait and also the burger was fine. I am not squeamish about things like that and I didnât make a fuss, but when it came to the bill nothing was taken off and on our way out we walked past all the staff who knew and not one even said sorry! A simple sorry and maybe an offer to take my burger off the bill and I wouldnât be typing this right now. Thank you for your review and feedback. Customer service and food quality are of the upmost importance at The Green. Please accept our apologies at this time. It was our first night of food service so like any restaurant we are still working on getting our service perfect. Our staff are a very friendly bunch and we try to keep things light. That being said an apology should have also been explicit at the time. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back again soon.

Roast beef dinner yuck , cold roast beef with horrible gravy poured over the top . Chips were under cooked , most disappointing meal I have ever had here . We use this place a lot but mostly at lunch time . Wonât be back for a dinner at night , itâs a good job the sweets were up to scratch as we were talking about going to get fish chips as we were still hungry

The 2016 return of Paul and Ann Kinnoch ushers in a renewed focus on great quality food and drink. Under their previous stewardship the couple won both the Scottish Licensed Trade's prestigious Best Community Pub Award and Scottish & Newcastle's Best Pub
Been many time over the last few years and always been happy with food and service, however the new Italian menu with 3 courses for £8.95 is the Dog's Bollocks, great food, fast service and friendly staff with good banter

Family run Inn with 5 well appointed En-suite Rooms,Traditional Public Bar and Well presented Lounge / Restaurant. Locally sourced produce to home-cooked pub food. SUNDAY BREAKFAST SERVED FROM 9AM TO 11.30 AM.
Chosen because two (particularly one) of the men were very plain eaters. Firstly we did get a bit lost on entry and ended up heading to the bedrooms. Our service was shared by a young man and a mature lady who were excellent. The 3 starters seemed to go well particularly the one who had the soup. I don't have a great appetite and was looking forward to the roast beef dinner so had just a roll and butter, too hot to handle and over microwaved! My beef was overcooked, so that and half of another's steak pie was kindly "doggie bagged" and it was well appreciated by dog lover companion's pooches. The "plain eater" had fish and chips and although he didn't say anything, he only ate about half of the serving. Apart from a lot of noise from a particularly busy bar we enjoyed our visit and were reminded of our visits to our local pubs in our younger days. Be prepared to run the "fag reek" gauntlet on entry and exit.
