We were looking for a place with an Easter Brunch buffet, and found Sienna. The restaurant is attractive, with some outdoor seats, a bar in the light and airy center of the facility, and separate seating areas tucked into spaces surrounding the bar. They were well-staffed on Easter, but seemed a bit overwhelmed by the crowds. We had a reservation, and had to wait about ten minutes past the requested time of our seating before we got a table.Once seated, we found the waitstaff to be attentive and friendly. The buffet had a decent variety of choices with a couple of salads, cheese and fruit, shrimp, raw oysters, traditional breakfast items (scrambled eggs, bacon, ham), an egg and veggie frittata, mac and cheese, baked salmon in a sauce, a carving station with beef roast, pasta in alfredo sauce and pasta in marinara, and chicken tenders. Enough choices that we found several different items to our liking. The frittata was a bit dry from spending too much time in the steam table. But they also offered eggs benedict, which were prepared on demand in the kitchen. My husband ordered two of these. One came out with a soft yolk and the other with a hard yolk. They hadn't asked how he'd like them prepared, so perhaps they were trying to cover all bases.Champagne and mimosas were included in the $45 price, which seemed reasonable given the quality and selection of food. There were several dessert options (cakes and cookies mostly) but they also had mini-trifles with cream cheese and crumbled cookies (very good) and mini-strawberry smoothies (also very good). The dining area in which we were seated was pretty noisy, which precluded quiet conversation. At least until a couple of the large parties in the same area finished their meals and left. This was no fault of the other diners; the acoustics in the room and the proximity of the tables to one another were mostly to blame.Bottom line: A good brunch at a decent price. We're glad we found this place. It helped make our Easter Sunday that much more enjoyable.

Our second time here and the food was excellent once again. We had the two piece fish and chips and the pork schnitzel sliders which also come with chips. The fish included two very nice big pieces of battered cod perfectly fried. The schnitzel sliders include two sandwiches with nicely fried thin pieces of pork complimented with a slice of cheese and pickled onion and a nice sauce. The chips are steak fries which are plentiful and perfectly cooked. They offer malt vinegar and ketchup for the chips. You also get a very good dill pickle spear with the sliders. They have an extensive menu of European beers and ales on tap.It has a old style pub decor with booths and tables. You order at the bar and your food is brought to your table. We really enjoy eating here, both times it was for lunch.Prices are reasonable $12-14 for each of our entrees.

Been here many times and each visit was pleasant. Love the big selection of local beers that change frequently. The food is great too, usually there is a special of the day that is priced low and very tasty. This is a small place, often packed and overcrowded. Go early on weekends before the wannabe hipsters start showing up to be "seen" at the cool places. If you show up and it is crowded, visit its sister pub down the street, The Fat Rabbit for European beers and food. You will love it too.

A friend and I had lunch here on a cold, windy day. We sat upstairs at the front corner "window seat" and were toasty. Our wait person was super friendly. We rib beef and cheese melt sandwiches, which were very tasty. The accompanying Parmesan Tater Tots, however, were greasy and pretty tasteless. I'd had them here before, and they were much better. I do, however, have two complaints: 1) the cloth napkins that are slick and don't absorb oils on the fingers from sandwiches and fries) and, 2) the CHEAP, PLASTIC water cups. Come on, people this is California. Save the environment. You can wash, sterilize, and reuse glass.

We must have had a “dark cloud” over us, as this experience was bad from the beginning. We had reservations, but had a bit of a wait. Perhaps the table we were to be seated at had overstayed. Our server was....not the best. She would take an order, not return, and then returned much later....to take our order.Again?Seriously? We reminded her, and she had an excuse. She was nice enough, but still. We were hungry and thirsty! We had hoped for a nice evening. This was not at all what we had expected from reading the reviews - so we were very disappointed, needless to say.We finally got our dinner, nibbled and left. The food was fine, but the service was so BAD, that we were literally BURSTING to get out of there after we finally DID get our dinner.

The Purple Place has been around for a long time. The atmosphere is slightly worn, but charming, comfortable and friendly. Decor is western. Attractive and interesting murals adorn the walls, even in the restroom which was very clean and well stocked. The staff was attentive. Kenny was a great waiter. He was fast and efficient. We had fish tacos, a flavorful turkey sandwich, and tasty white bean soup, which was a little too salty. The iced tea was very good.

The Granite Bay location of New Glory Craft Brewery features a dining area and adjacent taproom. The newly remodeled space is pleasant, though somewhat stark. It was busy on a Tuesday evening, but we had no problem getting a table quickly. The menu features pizza, salads, sandwiches, starters and a couple burgers. We had two salads and a pizza. The pizza crust has the distinction of being infused with one of their IPA’s. You won’t find any of your traditional pizza combos here, but the pizza selections are creative and absolutely delicious. We chose the “Beautiful Brussels” and it was fabulous. The crust is just the right thickness and has a pleasant chewy texture. Our salads were very good, I especially enjoyed the “Show me what you goat” salad, which features beets and goat cheese on butter lettuce. For a restaurant that prides itself on making everything from scratch, it would be wonderful if they made their own croutons. The hard packaged things that came on the club salad were more of an annoyance than an enjoyment. Definitely stop by and check out this new dining spot in Granite Bay!
