We are lucky enough to live within walking distance of this fun, "Cheers like" bar. Linda is a great bartender, always makes me laugh! Great service, great hamburgers! It's not the Taj Mahal, but it's clean, comfy and fun! When you are on the East end of town, stop in and see for yourself!
Cheese quality: 4/5, grease level: 3/5, crust: thin, price 3/5. Being on par with Mario's in the quality of the pizza, being a little more expensive than Mario's. The crust is where Palermo's really shines, high rise and highly buttered, the taste elevates the experience of the pizza overall, without taking away from the rest of the pizza. The service was nice, very friendly.Pizza = 4.3/5 (also comes in an astounding 24' size, feeding 6-8 people)

Just bumming around western Michigan for the day and we pulled in to Grand Haven looking for a place to have lunch. Looked at several menu's and found this one very appetizing. The draw was the Calamari and flat bread pizza. So glad we decided to eat here. The Calamari was very good; the flat bread pizza (we had both the veggie and the Crispy Prosciutto) was great. We also shared a Caesar salad (it was huge). This mix made for a great meal. The server (Brennan) was top notch. We never had to ask for drink refills, he was always a step ahead of us. Will make this a stop again when we are back in the area (from northern Indiana)..

We stopped at Applebee's in Grand Haven for late night food at about 10 pm. We didn't want a full meal but needed some sustenance. Being from out of town, we found the location very easy to get to, but very difficult to return from. You can't go south on Hwy 31 from the parking lot exit, and we ended up on a fast journey heading north, with no way to turn back. After driving several miles out of our way, we finally found a turn-around. Having said that, the food was disappointing. We'd dined two nights prior at the Applebee's in Ludington and ordered the Southwest steak and black bean soup for starters. It was fabulous, so we decided to order it again at this restaurant. My jaw dropped when it arrived because it looked like the chef forgot to include half the portion. There was literally no steak in the soup, and the bowl was less than half full ... of beans. I mentioned it to our server Dillon, who was wonderful. He was so apologetic and told us that he hears the same complaint frequently. Apparently this Applebee's is part of a different corporation than the Ludington location, and the Grand Haven location does the steak soup differently. Dillon did take my soup back to the kitchen and request that the bowl at least be filled with more of the beans. I also ordered a side salad and a decaf coffee. The salad was nice, fresh, crispy. The decaf coffee was stale. Other than the great service Dillon provided, there would be no reason to return to this Applebee's location, especially after realizing that they substitute inferior recipes in their menu.

Went for dinner this evening and the place was half full. Placed our order and the waitress was clueless. We got our salad and noticed that nobody was getting their food. 30 minutes after we finished salad the waitress said the pizza would out shortly. It arrived cold. The manager walked by after I took my first bite and I explained the problem. He asked me if I wanted something else from the kitchen and I said no - wanted a hot pizza. I told him to give me the bill for the salad because I was tired of waiting. He said âforget the salad and scramâ. WTF. Scram? No apologies- no nothing. We walked out - NEVER TO RETURN. Get a clue on the customer service skills.
I have been a member here for 2 years. Food is OK, good job on burgers, pizza nights, volunteers do a great job. As facilities go, this is a wonderful location, great views, good staff and the world's cheapest bar. What makes this place great are the people, the members, this is a great place with great people.

A nice, local brewery and restaurant. We stopped here while visiting during our anniversary. Wife loved the various microbrews and a sandwich, I had a pizza. Both were pretty tasty. Staff was candid and helpful. There was an outdoor riverfront dining area but we stayed inside. A bit tricky to get to, but worth the hunt.

After awhile you just get fed up. Tonight was it. No gift certificate or complimentary meal makes up for the shear frustration of having to repeatedly ask for a check, get your own beers from the bar or green sauce because they just forget or can't handle what was not a busy night. C'mon hire some servers that care about taking care of your customers.

J-Dub's is a cozy, casual eatery, with a full bar, wine list and craft beer.
But with a much wider range of entrees and a very nice, if limited, wine list. A classic local independent restaurant âpunching above its weight.â Good service. Very friendly atmosphere. Thanks so much for 1. Dining with us2. Leaving a great review!See you again soon!

We stopped in for lunch only to find out the do not have their own kitchen which worked out okay because we got to try one of the other local restaurants. There is no table service so you have to order at the bar, which is where the problem lies. It may been because it was a weekday but only one bartender serving walk up customers and another waiting on those sitting at the bar. Come on, all you do is serve beer! The beer is good if you want to put up with the wait.
